Mabel Ringling's Rose Garden had been cut back for the October cutting, which is done in May and October. Each time I have visited the roses were taller than my head. This allowed us to see the lay out of the paths all at one time. Click here for prior post on Rose Garden from 2011. sadly the beautiful gazebo was destroyed by Hurricane Irma.
Other Oct Blooms found as we walked to the rose garden.

The first rose...the sun on it, the color. LOVE it!!
I love the rose blooms that you photographed. At least the temperature was tolerable during your visit. I would love to smell those pretty blooms!
Loos a beautiful garden. The roses are scrumptious.
I love roses. Just bought 10 pots. Not sure of the colors. Yesterday 2 pot revealed their color to me. Now 8 more pots to go :)
What a pretty garden. I can imagine how wonderful that smells when they are all in full bloom
I have the same lemony yellow hibiscus in the yard.
I love roses, but they don't seem to do too well here so far south when it's so hot.
Pretty area. Now, I'm gonna click on the link to view the garden.
ps...read your debit card post below and laughing. Seriously, not only the limit you added to your online venture, but the baby behind the bank counter. But......was he a good lookin' baby? Oh, okay, now THAT sounded like a pervert, didn't it?
BEAUTIFUL!
Ohhhhhhhh MS what gorgeous flowers...and what a pretty day you had for a garden tour. Love the little red heart shaped one with the yellow protrusion.
Hugs Cecilia
Hello, the roses and hibiscus are all lovely. Beautiful colors and flowers.
Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!
So pretty! I'm sorry to hear about the gazebo.
Irma left a lot of debris behind her - and not the good kind, either!
Our roses are blooming here. Louis Dean loves his rose bushes! We have a few American Beauties with long stems. They are next to impossible to find at the nurseries anymore! They usually stock Knockout rose bushes.
All of those are wonderful! I love to stop and smell the roses.
It is nice to see the beautiful roses there!
It's good that the gardeners left some of the roses to continue blooming when they pruned back the bushes. It was nice to see the red flamingo plant growing outside. Because of our colder climate mine is in a pot indoors.
Such gorgeous roses(and other blooms)! So sorry to hear the gazebo was destroyed!!
LOL in the Physics business!!
I was admin assistant to the Director of the Center for High Performance Simulations aks CHiPS...everybuddy I worked was was a Theoretical Physicist.
If you have ever seen Big Bang Theory...that was 200% my life for the last 20 years I worked. They were a fun bunch but really geeky

Gorgeous flowers! I can almost smell the roses from here. We are up in IL and all the flowers are gone for the year.
Love roses but have never succeeded in growing them. But I can enjoy others' success and your success in capturing their beauty. Happy Thanksgiving next week!
You know I love roses, so this post caught my eye. Sounds and looks like a lovely place to visit.
Thank you for sharing those beautiful flowers! We are suffering from a total lack of color in our world right now. So, I appreciated seeing yours!
Beautiful roses, yes ... but you saved the best (hibiscus) for last!
I bet you enjoyed seeing the paths...that first rose picture is wonderful!
