OH NO! Not Raccoons again.

Above is one of three paw prints by the side of the pool found this week. We have not seen sight of one since May of 2014 and had hoped they were gone for good. Jake fights with them, and he is to old to tango fight now.

PRIOR POST Raccoon Mania

our boy is aging, he is 13, 91 in dog years and slowing down causing my heart to ache.

to see how much he has changed, see Jake, on his page in the Tabs under the header above.

Oh Jake, I pray those raccoons don't return. I just know you'll want to defend your mum's domain and don't realize that you should take it easy. Soft pats for that beautiful old head all the way from South Africa.

Oh my; I read (not for the first time) about Jake's story. What a blessing he found you! And what a debonair gent he has become in his old age. I think he has emulated your graciousness and love...

UH OH. I hope the raccoon was just passing through and that Jake doesn't spot him

I hate to see the raccoons back. They can be such a nuisance. Jake is a good dog!

You have been so blessed with your Jake! No one lives forever and I realize he is an old man dog. But the experiences and memories you have all made together does indeed last forever!
Ourtime tables are so different! I was in bed early tonight - before 9:00! I slept walking up every hour on the hour until about 1:30 when Louis Dean thought he was better and came in our bedroom, moved all my many pillows and got in bed! No! He needs to sleep elevated due to his severe allergy attacks for the last 36 hours! After I was totally awake due to his coughing and gagging - he went back to the den where he could go right back to sleep in his recliner. I am still awake. He and I need to have a talk in the morning. I’m just now hoping to end my day in sleep and you and Bob are already beginning yours!

Darned racoons... Jake, old man, I hope none appear and cause you angst - which would case mum and dad angst, and that would be no god for any of you! Take some extra hugs together, you three... YAM xx

Hello, those dang raccoons. I have to put my feeders away every night because they break them, steal them or eat all the food. I hope Jake does not see any Raccoons in his yard. Hug for Jake, he is beautiful!

I hate that the raccoon's are back. I wonder what they are good for anyway? Jake is older than Disco I admit - I can see where both dogs have aged. Jake looks a little older as does Disco. We just had to bring Disco in for limping - we are trying dieting first. They both have grayed and I know it breaks your heart. Me too. C.S.Lewsi has a great quote. Something like part of the joy now that we have - will be part of the sorrow later - but to love you must have both - something like that. Hugs.

Oh no! We haven't seen a coyote in awhile and I'd like it to stay that way. However we haven't seen any bunnies lately which means they must be around. Our daughters dog Charlie is 13 and is having some issue right now. Say a prayer for him. He was diagnosed with cancer two years ago but they couldn't afford to do anything.

Oh gosh! And it's mating season as well...or soon to be. Raccoons mostly come out in the evening and night, so maybe you will be alright. Better lock your doors! And do NOT leave any dog food around. Keep me posted. I remember the old post!

Don't you just hate seeing your babe getting older. I do, I look at Dakota sometimes and it breaks my heart. I know that I have added to the last few yrs of his life with getting him a pet (Lily) and I know that she will help me through it when something happens to him but....he is my best bud.......I love the silly little dog.

That paw print is remarkable ... so like a human hand!!!

Praying those rascals stay away from Jake's domain. He loves y'all so and, I imagine, would do ANYthing to protect his humans. Sweet soul has the cutest doggie grin, happy to live in the moment. (I should take a lesson!)

Sweet Jake no matter your age and changes you are still handsome and I know you are a real sweetie too. Sure hope those raccoons stay away. Please don't do any fighting with them if you do happen to see one. Hugs and nose kisses
