Old Age Sissys

Photos from river walkabout, culvert grate, have nothing to do with the post. just because I took them

Old Age Games We Play

I entered the kitchen for a cup of coffee at 4 AM and found Bob flashing the flashlight  all around the floor. (we can't see a pill without a flashlight)

I asked "what did you drop?"

He replied " I put my pills in my mouth and as I swallowed, I felt only 3 in my mouth, there are  always 4. That means one is on the floor." (he can't hear the pill hit the floor)

"What color is it? "I stupidly asked

" I don't know, I just know I swallowed 3 not 4."

I got the other flashlight (that sits by the thermostat on the wall because we both have problems seeing the controls)
We found it and it was fish oil which was a relief since Jake would eat it if he got there first.,

You should have seen us scramble when I dropped the OPEN bottle of BP meds on the floor and they flew six ways from Sunday..

Life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes.

Ummm, you are speaking my truth. We also live with many flashlights...located in almost every room in the house. Those cheaters from Wally World ony go to +3 and I think I need at least a +5. LOL! Not.....I hate losing my near sight.

Good morning, it is the same here, hubby drops his meds and I usually have to find them. I usually have to find his hearing aid batteries when they fall too. Enjoy your day!

We go through this same thing...we drop our pills, and we often drop 3 of our pets' pills, and then have to hurry to find them and pick them up! lol

I have scrambled after dropped pills so many times too, I know what you mean. I'm writing this on my kindle. It is taking a long time, but I love that I can do it.

Oh do I hear you on the pill thing. We lose all our pills on the granite counter tops. I declare ever pill we take matches it. I have always put in bottle top or on a paper towel. B didn't want to bother but was always losing them so now he has a small bowl onto of his pill canister. He puts all his pills in there.
Love that saying about the TP roll

It seems we are all in the same boat.
Things disappear on my granite counters in the kitchen.
As I have often said about my Hubby and I...we each have only half a good brain and eyesight...it takes both of us to make one good person.

Wow Sandra..a drone would be fabulous.
We would have missed the best part of the sunset if we had jumped in the car and went ot our favorite spot. The colors change so quickly.
Thanks for the comment.

You HAD me from the minute I read you walked into the kitchen!! I just adore your little bits of life. Yes, I drop pills all the time!! So we get the couch cushions turned over on a regular basis. And the floor! We HAVE to find them because of Simba. Not to mention the grandkids.

Life does seem to speed up as we get older and I always thought that people slowed down with age.

Disco is too particular for pills - teehee. I love this "Life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes." You are right! Love, sandie

Yikes! ... been there, done that.
I grow nervous every time Tom pulls out his little pill cutter. I've suggested he lay an old towel across the counter-top so if one gets away it won't bounce ... but of course, I don't know what I'm talking about. (sigh)

I have to get the flashlight out all the time to be able to see stuff. Then of course I need my reading glasses on top of that
