The last of my drive by homes from a couple of weeks ago. Yellow with red door, Green with white door and White with white door and white fence. In Florida any color is OK for your home.
I have a question for you all. When you are shopping in a store, do people ask you for assistance?
In Wal-Mart, I was standing reading labels, a man about 20 years older than me, stopped and said
"Can I ask you a question?" I said Sure, he said "I have heard I can clean glass with vinegar. Do you know how I would do that?"
If you know me well you know I clean everything with vinegar. Over joyed to share my pet cleaning tips, I gave him the recipe, directions etc and he said what kind of vinegar. I said come around the corner and I will show you.
He put the white vinegar in his basket and headed to the Dawn aisle.
The next week, a man walking in front of me, stopped, turned and said. "Do you know where I might find a....um.... you know, the thing you hang around your neck and it protects your clothes when you are cooking?
I laughed and said Apron? Yes, he says, Apron.! I need an Apron.
I said I have never seen one in Wal-Mart and turned to leave, I got half an aisle away and turned and went back and said. "Try the garden shop. You know the grills and all the accessories."
He hustled off smiling. Leaving me to wonder if they do have them in the garden shop.
This happens to me at least a couple times a month in Wal-Mart.

The last all white house is WAY my favorite, and I bet you knew that. You could just saw the porch off and leave the house behind. I have had this happen a few times, but not near as much as you do! You must give off helpful vibes. Usually, people ask me where to find things. I recently got an adorable apron at WM! Real frilly and covered with cupcakes. It was in the kitchen section on an end cap. I have never had an apron, but figured I need one now because I am more and more clumsy.
Those houses are all so cute and charming in their own way. Every now and then someone will ask me a question and sometimes I'll just pipe in when I overhear someone asking someone else a question but it's only once in a while not as often as you.
Have a great weekend, I can't believe it's March already!

I always enjoy the homes you share with us. People in stores, mainly Walmart, always talk to me and/or ask questions. I had a discussion this week with a lady who was buying raisins and dried blueberries for her granddaughter!
The yellow house is ok but I don't care for the red door on it. The green house is ok if you like green houses. The white house looks like it has not only a covered front porch but it's screened in as well and THAT'S the one I'll take.
I can't recall being asked questions in the stores except at work when I have my store hat on. You might be able to find an apron in the craft section too with the fabric paints. I have seen aprons hanging in front of shelves on clip strips throughout the grocery section and in housewares but they are't usually ones I would see a guy wearing
What a coincidence...I have the same experiences in Walmart. In fact, most recently, I helped a gentleman pick out a shower ensemble for his aging father after we hit the cleaning products (Dawn & white vinegar)...LOL!!!...:)JP

My home in Sydney was that shade of green - and not a whole lot different from that look at all! I miss brightly coloured homes and the variety... Britain is all grey and brown and rows and rows of same-o:same-o.
Not only have I been asked in supermarkets where it is I thought something might be, I have often been the asker, also! YAM xx
LOL LOL LOL
Sandra I think we must look very wise and thus all the questions....
I'm asked lots of questions in the grocery store.
I love all the tropical colors in Florida.
Happy Saturday

Sandra, you just look very nice and helpful type of person. I like the yellow homes, they seem cheery. Our power went out yesterday morning and is not back on yet. Thankfully hubby got our generator working long enough for me to make a few comments. I will catch up on all blog comments asap. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!
Apparently you have that all knowing Wise look about you.
A little age helps too.
I've had that happen to me too.
Your kindness just shines through.
You must look like a sweetheart. Maybe once in awhile, but not usually. Nor can I find many clerks that want to help me!
I think any color for a house goes everywhere. I have seen one house in my hometown, white with the brightest pink door I've ever seen. You must have a smiling face and a look that people trust.
I, too, really favor that little white home!
A couple of years ago I stopped at Target after work ... not realizing I was wearing the exact same colored polo as their associates do. Yes, I was mistaken for an employee a couple times!
I noticed your saying it was men who approached you ... and that reminds me: Maybe it's just Arizona, but every time I go to the supermarket, more often that not it seems women are marching around with a scowl on their faces ...but the men look like they're on a picnic. Glad you're the exception! :)
I read about a joke at some big chain store where a whole bunch of people all showed up dressed exactly like the workers! It led to chaos!
It sounds as if you do a great job when put on the spot! I think that no one ever asks me those questions because I always look lost!
Yes to your question. I am always asked questions by strangers. It has happened my entire life!
I really enjoyed your house tour!
yep I do get stopped in stores.........you and I must just have some crazy retail worker look about us lol catchatwithcarenandcody
YES! This happens to me quite often...and what is funny...my older daughter...she will be traveling for work, and here she is not 40, slim...about 5'3", and will have people come and ask her all kinds of stuff, sometimes with her standing next to someone with a uniform. LOL I am talking things to do with the airport, things to do with security...etc.
