Dr Seuss Day - National Reading Day

A tale of woe, oh no, on no!

A tale of me, is what you'll see!

The washer sprayed water on our floor!
I quickly rushed to the Home Depot Store!

I ordered the new washer, then made it THREE!
The fridge, the washer, the dryer, you see,
were almost as old as ME.

The delivery was FREE but still woe is ME!
7 days was the delivery date,
I said oh my, how can we wait?

The 7th day arrived, we had barely survived.
The dryer was unboxed first,
when I saw the washer I nearly burst!

The new washer was bent, before it was sent!
It came unboxed with a REALLY BIG DENT!

We sent it back and waited AGAIN,
7 more days seems to be a really big SIN!

Join with Jake, it's not that hard, go to LLB in Our BackYard!

On National Reading day we can play,
for  its also Bloglands Dr Seuss Day.
Click the pic, to see what everyone has to say.

Come back again, because you see,
the tale of the washer and me, has more to be
continued....

Wow! This is just as much fun as Doctor Seuss. Even MORE! You are SO good at this! It must have slipped past me that you got a fridge, too. That is the most expensive of all the appliances. So you now have the fridge and the dryer, just no washer. Well, at least you have a fridge!! We are having a huge wind storm for about two days. Up to 60 MPH. There is predicted power outages. The wind has only started this evening, and there are already power loses. Not only that, they said the wind is so dangerous that the men can't go out to fix the power till the storm is over. AND we don't have an alternate heat source. SO, if you don't hear from me for awhile, you will know what is going on.

Love the poem and the story but not the part about waiting and getting a dented appliance. It crazy how long you have to wait to have something delivered.
I was thinking woe is me when I looked out the window this morning and saw all the snow. I think we got nearly a foot over night

What a clever story. Sorry it was not a story, but your reality. Hopefully things will be fine now. Happy Dr. Seuss Day!

A dent in the machine
And the long, long, wait
I'd hate...

'Cause you see, I get mean
When my day's not routine
And the chores run late!

Appliances Kaput
That makes you feel shook.
Better days ahead
With a whole new kitchen nook.
That's about as Seussical as I can get today.
Emotions have been like a roller coaster due to some issues involving dear friends.
Hopefully corners will be turned soon.
Have a great day any hoo....

You and Jake are so cute! ... so, Bob didn't want to play?
I love to HATE appliance shopping. I mean, they're so boring, and so expensive. Shame on that retailer for trying to foist off a damaged unit. What, did he think y'all were blind?

We wound up having to replace the dishwasher; they're scheduled to deliver and install tomorrow, and believe you me, I'll be checking for dents and wrinkles!

Been many, many, many years since I have read a Dr. Seuss book. HAHA....they can be some really tounge twisting stories. I used to read all the time, now I can't even see to get into a book. Need to work on that since it is relaxing and a good thing to do right before I head to bed.
