Amazon Lover I Yam I Yam...

My email popped up and said HEY, did you know Kindle Fire 7 is on sale fro 34.99? Really? My son Dan had disappeared off Facebook messenger, When I texted and asked why, he said his tablet died. With this thought in my head, quicker than you could blink, I clicked and 2 days later he received it at his home as a gift...... his text to me said Mom, I just got this off the front porch, thanks, I am setting it up. 3 texts later he is talking about how fast it is....

I am a proud member of Prime Amazon. We watch most of our TV and Movies using Amazon Fire Stick to make our Old Non Smart TV smart. Prime comes with  free delivery on most orders within 2 days.  I signed up for it 3 years ago,  for the movies, but then I discovered that anything I want, I search there to see if they have it and what the price is. We use an Amazon fire stick since our TV is to old to be a smart TV...
NOTE: I hate shopping and this is the answer.

The Pool filter died and 2 days later it was here..

Bob said last week, I need your help to buy new batteries for my RC planes.
In the past, it involved hours of him finding 5 batteries, on 3 different sites because they never have everything he wants on one site. And the one I hate the most are ordered from China and take weeks to get here.

Pulling up Amazon search, I typed the first one, 30 C, 2650 Amp and voila. all five ordered in five minutes and next day delivery. Ordered on Saturday, delivered on Sunday. SHOCKER!

AFTER I had placed the order he said I forgot, we have to go get a basket for the pool and a vac head. I said I will see if they have it, I do NOT want to run from store to store looking for 2 items.  5 minutes 2 items ordered for less than in the store and here in 2 days.

the next day while putting supplements in our little remind me boxes, I noticed fish oil and vitamins were almost gone. I had never checked Amazon. I did, 2 days later on my porch.

and that is how I broke my record and had Amazon delivery 3 days in a row. Bob said do you think there is anything Amazon doesn't sell?    So Just To see, I typed in Washer/Dryer. YES! they do. NO! they don't sell new or used cars.. YET.

Great that you can so easily find and order everything you need. My niece does the same.

Good morning, you are just a great shopper. That is an awesome deal for the Kindle Fire. What does Amazon Prime cost, $10 a month? I am not sure if I am that much of a shopper to make the monthly fee worth it. Enjoy your day!

That's a great price for the kindle fire. I bought one for my daughter a few years ago when they had a great deal on them. I've thought about getting prime but I don't think I order enough from Amazon to make it worth the price.

You got that down girl! I should look into that Amazon thing. We live so far out in the country the ups and fed ex person can never find us. Our address has no town, and we have to get our mail at a little post office that is only open a few hours a day. We’ve hoped for home delivery but if we go to a mail route our address will be a town 11 miles away. I guess that is a consequence of living in the boonies. Lol. Thanks for the info Sandra!

HAHA....like Bob I have to ask, is there anything they don't sale! HAHA....sounds like a pool is a lot of up keep. I wanted to have an above ground one put in years ago and decided against it. Did not want to have to clean it out from the leaves that would fall and I did not want to cut my trees down....anyway, not up to keeping up with something like that anymore. Thanks for sharing.

A steady Amazon customer here too. My annual fee is recouped within a few weeks with savings on shipping. For me the plus far outweighs the minus when all things are considered.

And you have pointed out one big advantage for me too. All three of our kids live out of town and any needs we can help with, or spoiling grand kids, we rarely see is just click away.

And after making those purchases I have points to shop with for myself---win,win.

And now I will have to look at that Kindle on sale. Mine is several years old. . . .

Oh and I used to think I was putting a burden on the mail girl with deliveries but then I thought 'job security'. Besides she takes the opportunity to converse with the RG. They were once on the same bowling league.

I do use Amazon -but only if there is no other alternative. I wish to keep my little local businesses going, even the bigger local businesses - especially as being classified as 'remote' for delivery cost purposes. In fact, some things can't even BE delivered here. YAM xx

Me, too! :) I only regret that I didn't discovered Amazon Prime earlier! Recently I ordered a frame on behalf of the office, which arrived broken. Well, because I didn't read the small print carefully, instead of crediting my boss' credit card I'd used, they issued a credit to my personal Amazon account. I can't begin to tell you how much I dreaded calling to see if that couldn't be resolved ..... but their customer service folks were outstanding. Easy-peasy. They've a customer here for life!

PS - We love the free Prime books and movies.

I love my Amazon Prime too. Don't use it often but when I do I love the speed..Order and bam...its here and I'm a happy camper.
The convenience is wonderful but it has closed some retail places...they just can't compete.

Amazon Prime is even more important for those of us who live where there just aren't that many stores. I have a fire stick I never use, but I love sitting in bed in the evenings, watching movies. You are right, I just love my Prime.

And how much discount do you get for praising them on your blog? ;) ... I appreciate them too, though - for my Kindle Touch, and all the hundreds of e-books and audio books I've downloaded since then. As for physical items I have also a couple of times bought DVDs from the UK, when I couldn't find them through the Swedish websites I normally use for that.

Like you and others, Sandra, we also have an Amazon Prime account and it has come in very handy. When we lived in VA it was very helpful as living in a small town, we didn’t have as many shopping choices. And now, even though we live in a larger city, Amazon is our go to place when looking for many things withiut driving. Kudos tonyiu on yiur great finds and gotta really like that fast delivery!

I love Amazon Prime as much as you do!!! I know our UPS driver very well because he is here multiple times per week delivering our Amazon stuff! Supplements are a biggie for us because R takes 12 fish oil capsules per day plus multiple other things for his elbow. I can buy almost all of them at Amazon. I used to have to drive 40 min to a specialty supplement shop, and then they often had to order what I needed so then I'd get to drive to and fro that place again. Amazon is so much better!!!!

I’m a prime member, too! I love Amazon! Amber gets deliveries just about every single day and sometimes multiple deliveries a day!
