Happiness is the simple joy of Bougainvillea, UNTIL you step on a thorn that is 3 inches long or feel the gouge from walking to close. This one lives in our back yard and a very Pink Very big one lives in the front yard. Prior POST to see the pink HERE. I might have a few hundred photos in my archives. These were taken 2 weeks ago.
May the 4th be with you on this first day June, 2018.
Several bad puns later, this is all I got...
I just had to bring one inside..

I love bougainvillaea... had an enormous purple one in Sydney - but you're right about those thorns! The simplicity and elegance of that one stem on your shelf is stunning. YAM xx
What a beautiful flower and it looks perfect in the vase, just the right pop of color! The thorns sound nasty, I hope you really didn't step on one, ouch!
Oh how beautiful. Glad you brought a bloom indoors to enjoy. How are you two and Jake today?
Happy June! I love the Bougainvillea, it is a pretty pink. It look pretty inside! Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!

Gorgeous....I didn't know they had thorns!!
What a beautiful display in the last photo. The b&w photo and the green vases Hugs madi and mom
Oh, I love your shelf and photos! And the beautiful flower, of course!
I'm loving this juxtaposition in your last slide! Black and white photography does it for me every time.
The bow under your shelf is a sweet touch! I've never seen anything like that before.
It is gorgeous! I cannot decide if I like the pink or purple one better. The blooms look like leaves that are colored! So unusual. But huge thorns, huh? Has Jake or Baby ever gotten one in their paw? How long does it bloom? I love your cute little shelf!
Sandra, I love your photo corner with the beautiful splash of color too.
That is such a lovely display shelf and a pretty way to display the bougainvillea. I didn't realize they had such large thorns. They sure look beautiful and I love their color. Great photos Sandra!
I didn't even realize it was June 1st. No wonder my premium channels had great listings of movies today!!
Yes those thorns are something else. It looks so pretty inside and I like your wall display.
We do not have one here.
I love your 'pink' flower or shrub!

That is one gorgeous plant...too bad it has those long sticky thorns to hurt when stepped on. Hugs
