NO Clue...ME

Sometime in the distant past, I read or saw or heard something about Vitamin E oil being good for something or other. I really have no clue at all why I bought the little brown bottle of Vitamin E drops. for the purpose of this story, we don't need to know why, just the fact I bought it, and it got pushed to the back of the cabinet and last week I FOUND IT again.....

The Rest of The Story. Last month, I looked down at my skin on my arms and shuddered, so dry and scaling I thought I had two baby alligators attached to me...

I am allergic to almost every scent there is and had purchased not one but 2 advertised lotions to Heal Alligator Skin...which I could not use due to scent.

I decided to purchase Unscented Baby Oil, the kind I used on my kids 55 years ago... Hard to find, trust me.. I did find it and added the oil to the little bottle you see next to the Softsoap, which by the way has Ivory soap in it, not Soft Soap Scented Stuff. The baby oil helped but not completely.

When I found the Vit. E bottle, I put a few drops in the baby oil... It works really well, IF I remember to put it on my arms, which is why the little bottle sits where I brush my teeth. NOTE: I put a bottle in my bag to use when I take my shower at the YMCA, but have only remembered to use it twice out of 10 times there. OUT OF SIGHT OUT OF MIND. I could hang it around my neck but it might leak in the pool.

Warning! if you happen to think while perched on the throne, it is a good time to rub oil on your arms, be sure Before You Shake The Bottle, the little lid is in Closed Position, because a blend of 2 oils that spray out when shaking bottle, Is NOT GOOD for your glasses OR the floor and sink.. Now my arms are not scaly but it doesn't matter because the view is blurred by oil....😁😁😁

...am I supposed to be sitting here laughing at the image just presented by your words??? If so, you succeeded. If not - ignore my first sentence and accept my sympathy! Yes, Vit E is for the skin, hair and nails. I take supplements but do moisturise also; though like you, just about all of the scented stuff is intolerable. YAM xx

Thanks for the tip for dry skin! Like you, I don't like strongly scented products.

Too funny that last paragraph. Years ago a friend told me that she used to break open a Vitamin E capsule and rub the liquid on a cut. She swore it left no scars.

I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing with you. You are laughing right? :)
I'm the same way about remembering to use things (take pills, use lotion)
I've had that coconut and warm ginger softsoap.I liked the scent of that. I can handle the scent in that

Hello, giggling here! I can not handle certain scents, I am am allergic to some scents. Thanks for sharing the vitamin e tip. I try to remember moisturizer for my skin. It is important if you are in the sun a lot. Enjoy your day!

Now that you mention it, I used Vitamin E oil years ago and had forgotten about it.

I'm also allergic to most scented toileteries. I was interested to hear about your use of Vitimin E oil.

Oh I hear you on the skin allergies. I can only use Aveeno lotion on my skin...I once tried the store brand look alike but it made me itch. And I only use dove unscented for sensitive skin for my shower.
LOL at your oily glasses. I really like how you dressed up the photo

I'm sorry for your mess … but gosh your last paragraph gave me such a belly laugh!!! I never thought about scent allergies until my DIL developed them a few months ago. Now I'm always careful what cleaning products I use before they come over. Who'd have guessed?

Like my dad, I've suffered with dry skin all my life … but it's so much better since moving here where there's more than 3-7% humidity. It's been years since I bought Vit. E oil … like you, I was always forgetting to use it. Now, at a friend's suggestion, I keep a big jar of coconut oil in the bathroom for everything from cuticles to split ends. Plus, I don't have to worry about Macie and Gracie licking something that might be toxic.

Oh my gosh, funny! And how do you EVER clean oil off your glasses? That would be worse than cleaning raw eggs off the floor...NOT that I ever did that, hee hee...I have had doctors recommend E oil to me. It really is great, and natural. I almost lost it when I saw the coconut & warm ginger soap (even though it was just the bottle). I want to EAT it! I shall look for it today in WM. But it is probably an old bottle and they don't sell it anymore. How come whenever I really love something and buy it all the time, then they either stop making it or replace it with something worse?? HUH? What a rambling comment I have typed, haven't had my coffee yet.

Perfumes really kill me, but I do like some light scented foaming hand soaps.
the older I get the dryer and scaley my skin gets...Vitamin E is a wonder thing.
Keep using it you will be absolutely gorgeous.
Oily glasses are the pits and again thanks for my morning giggle.

Oh my!!
A few years ago when I saw a dermatologist he said the only issue I had was dry skin. I lotion all the time, everyday, have done that for year. He said I needed a cream not a lotion. It does make a different and my arms really look great when I use it.

You are so funny! I use it on Samson's nose because it gets all red and scaly due to his illness. Of course he licks it off right away, but it still works pretty well. I read that it is also good for strenthening your nails, if needed. But I haven't tried it.

Iam famous for shaking things before checking to make sure the lid is secure! Lotion, Salad Dressing, ketchup. You name it, I have splatted it!

What a gift you have sweet Sandra for turning a mess into laughter for others...and hopefully yourself. Oil is not a fun or easy mess to clean. Sorry about the mess and the dry skin and I hope the combination of the two oils get that alligator-looking skin on the run. Hugs

Oh my gosh my skin is so dry too. And I just hate oil on things- especially my glasses.

Baby oil is just mineral oil and is avaiable at most stores around tummy products as it may be ingested. If skin is dry you may also wisg to help the body from the inside by eating flax zeed oil caps or adding the oil to a salad.it is also known as hemp seed oil. We have to use all sorts of unscented stuff on Buddy. Even coconut oil . Lately the UNscente Eucerin complete repair is doing a good job on top of the coat of mineral oil. I need no spills dorblurry vision:(
