Womens Spa

This is the women's waiting room, at Manatee Dianostic, the office that I visited for my annual mammogram this past week. They checked me in at the front desk and deposited me in the Women's Spa Room.. Low lights, comfy chairs, soft music, and a fountain on one wall and the word HOPE on the other, under the free coffee..

I think this is supposed to make us feel safe and not threatened by having our boobs IRONED to prevent breast cancer.
Reminder, mammograming your boobs is a lot more important than instagraming them.

The room in a women's spa looks a pleasant place to wait for the mammogram. It's been designed well to put you at your ease. Wherever you go for the mammo it's an important appointment isn't it? An early diagnosis from a mammogram when on a new voluntary over 70s programme put me on the path to surgery, treatment and the road to remission for which I'm very grateful. Thank you for highlighting this important message Sandra. Have a good week!

I went earlier this year. Or was it last year? That's a nice waiting room. The waiting room where I go is small and pretty boring.

Good advice for all of us! WOW. free coffee (did you have any?), artwork, soft chairs. What else can you ask for? HOPE seems to be the name of many medical buildings. Our local cancer treatment center is called Hope. But it is a good name. When you are sick, what else do you have? I hope we never get so desperate as to blog post our fancy parts! But now you have put that image inside my head...

"Mammogramming ... is more important than instagramming." …. OMG, girl. You need to copyright that for doctors offices everywhere!

I think it's going on 2 years for me; I'll ask my new primary when I see her next month. Am I the only one, or do you get nervous (about the results) right before The Test? I mean, why not be nervous any other day of the year? I know, I'm weird.

Oh yeah. I'm not sure about the peaceful atmosphere. Nice thought, but would really work for me is the comedy channel.

Comforting & (no pun intended)...supporting! I like it!! Yes, Isaiah has blue eyes...he's a lynx point siamese.

And, thanks so much for leaving such a positive comment on my bird photo blog.

What a pleasant room. Not like Kaiser waiting room at all.
Going to have my boobs squished tomorrow afternoon.
It's not my favorite thing but prevention is the goal.

What a cool name for a diagnostic place. Ours is just called Kern County Radiology. Boring!

WOW! That looks pretty plush compared to where I go for a mammogram.Oh well, it's the end result that matters most.
