Birthday was a success..

Despite Bob's demeanor in above collage (the frown meant Stop aiming your phone at me), My Birthday WAS a success. I did not cook for Three Days..
We ate my birthday burger at Culvers and on Thursday I bought Salems Philly Cheese for Bob and Two Orders of grilled fish.
He had Steak, I had fish, Friday we had left over Fish for Two...side dish of Brussel sprouts.
Three Meals for Two, UNDER 40 dollars.
This is how we roll...

And in the mail came this gorgeous card, from Ginny at LetYourLightShine. Her light did shine. It is a card but looks like a package, a real package. When opened, it said unwrap a terrific Day. I did!
Thanks for all the birthday wishes, on FB and this Blog.

It is so great when birthdays go well, especially as we grow old. You did well with no cooking for four days. That is a great present.

Happy belated birthday. It sounds like you really enjoyed it. You did very well having 3 meals for 2 people for $40. It's great when one doesn't have to also do the dishes :-)

Sounds like you got the best out of your birthday. I'm all for that!! I've heard that Culver's has great burgers. We need to try them. Love the card.

Best,

I love when there is no cooking for 3 days. Glad you could celebrate that way.
Ginny's card is perfect. You always unwrap a great day.
The picture of Bob made me laugh..He really hates to be the center of attention.
Glad your birthday was a success.

What a nice surprise! Thanks for posting my card! I have never seen a Culvers except for your posts. It must be a regional thing. Looks nice. Is it an upscale drive-thru, or eat-in family style? Well, I didn't really think Bob was frowning, at least I hope not on your birthday! But he DOES look like he is praying before the meal! See, exactly? Happy POST Birthday, sweet Sis!

Hope and pray your day is a GOOD one.

Belated very Happy Birthday wishes, Sandra. Sorry for the late wishes as I am (finally) back pedaling to catch up on blog reading. I didn't mean to ignore other bloggers while we were on our cross country adventures, but ran out of time for everything at night. You did well with not having to cook for your birthday and afterwards. We didn't cook for nearly 50 days. yes, we both gained a few extra and unneeded lbs, and yes we are back to cooking and eating better at home. No more stops at Culver for us and thankfully there is not a single one here in NH!
