I am Stumped!

I am still stumped at the case of the disappearing moss rose flowers. Whomever ate the moss rose flowers has munched half of the petals off the 3 surviving black eyed Susan's.. I spared you a photo of another Susan.

That's OK, the leaning mail box shadow will do... I am also stumped as to why the mail box is leaning, I am blaming global warming...  it is so hot here the ground is melting.

Can you find the lizard in these photos???

I put in a tree-mendous amout of time creating this post...
What a treet for all of you...   Is this treesome, or what?

I see him, I see him!!!! It took awhile, but I finally did it. And now you have made me feel really good about myself! It doesn't take much. Whatever is eating those flowers seems to be doing it very delicately and daintily, not just trampling, but taking their time with the bites. Too bad that none of us can afford one of those cameras you strap to a tree and they will turn on when something gets near. They have tremendous luck with those finding animals on the wildlife shows we watch.

Goldfinches came and plucked petals off of my black eyed Susans this year. I guess they were getting the tiny little seeds from them. They usually come and pluck the petals off of my zinnias for the seeds. They are such cute little birds, but I pecked at the window to scare them off of my black eyed Susans. They came back and did it some more anyway, and I pecked at them again. I was late planting any zinnias this year, so they haven't started in on them yet.

At the end of spring I watched as a robin picked off dried, faded hyacinth flowers and ate them. I thought robins only liked worms and bugs. Maybe there were some tiny insects I couldn't see from a distance on the dried blooms.

I saw your lizard, but I would have missed him if you wouldn't have told us to look for him.

Hello, our mailbox is leaning too. It is not as hot here as where you are.

I found the lizard. If your had a wildlife cam set up you could catch the thief. Happy Monday, enjoy your day and new week ahead!

If my mailbox starts leaning I'm in trouble because it's attached to the house. I like the stump that the moss rose sits on. It looks like it was made just for that purpose. I think I found the lizard

I see the lizard. Did you give him a name?

I imagine it is a squirrel or a rabbit.
Yes he is in the shade of the pot!

When I saw the first picture - it looked like the mailbox was a gun shooting at the pot!

That lizard did not stump me! Lovely black and white photos.

So cute you are to satisfy my thirst for black/white photography. (*smile*) Yes, I see your little friend. Not Liam, but who?

That leaning mailbox looks cool!

Love your leaning mailbox. So sorry about all your petals disappearing. At least you got to enjoy them for a while. Found the lizard too. We have one little guy that scoots around our patio. He's so fast I haven't gotten a picture yet. He's only about an inch and a half long.
Feels like it's going to be warmer today and not a cloud in the sky. So much for more sunset photos.

Oops....something has decided that your plants make a great meal. I know sometimes squrriels will do that when needind water and moss rose has a water like stem. My flowers are about gone now, fall is in the air and around the corner.

I had to take a second and third look to find the lizard, but I found him.

Is the lizard in the shadow (the head) and tail farther away? That's my guess. Around here even HOUSES lean 'cause the Texas soil is clay & shrinks in drought then swells with rain.

Lizard to the right of the plant pot? It was 60 degrees here yesterday, today it was 73 but in the next few days it is going to be warmer. Not as warm as your way though. Love the puns :)

Tiny lizard, giant flower pot. I'm guessing little lizard is feeling hot. Love the tree stump which is just right to place that pot.
