lacy leaves bray

Last week we found the woods full of leaves that were transformed to lace by something that is eating them.
Beleaf me, these leaves are beautiful to behold.

If you have the time, pop on over to Fourpawsetc to see the beauty in our lives on day 14 of Gotcha Day for BB.

we get no fall color but the dead ones come close

I have lots of pictures like this! Because like you, I think they look like lace. And the sun makes them prettier. I happened to see the culprits at work though. I think these have been destroyed by the same thing as mine. I sent you two pictures.

They are lacey looking. Some of those are taken right down to the bare bones. There must be some hungry critters crawling around there.

Hello,

It is a shame the bugs are eating your beautiful leaves! The dead lacy leaves are kind of pretty. Happy Monday, enjoy your day!

Everything's gotta eat I guess.

If we have had enough rain through the first part of the yr we have some amazing colors in TN...problem, it don't last anytime. It like they turn one day and the next gone. Lacey leaves....what an amazing thought if they were grown that way. But I have to say, looks like there is a lot of hungry bugs around those leaves....:)

That does create a lacy design. I am always fascinated by all the shapes and colors of leaves.

I wonder what is doing that? I'd love to see those leaves with sunshine coming through from behind them!

That doesn't look good for the tree, but interesting for the rest of us.

Oh my, they are so interesting. That last photo is amazing. I can't believe how much they can eat without them falling apart.

Wow! Earlier I couldn't make these out (on my cell). Now, at the desktop they look almost other-worldly!

Some thing or someone must have been busy chewing up those leaves. They do end up looking lacy.
