TOPS Take Off Pounds Sensibly

Jan 26, 2017, I decided I had to change my life, or die an early death, possibly from diabetes since it is rampant in our family.
The photos today show the 2 year progression, very slow loss of 60 pounds, the first year 55, and another 10 the second year.
For some reason I am stuck doing the up/down with 3 to 4 pounds. I should be down another 10 by now, but am struggling with the last 10 pounds I need to lose.
It is best to lose no more than 1 pound a week or less.

The above are photos of my face changing at about 10 pound down each time I took a photo. I have no idea whey the last 10 is so hard.

It is not about the looks of it but the health of it. I am not even trying to get to the weight THE chart says I should be, doctor said 10 pounds above the chart is fine for my age... I have printed these collages to keep in my bag that goes to TOPS meetings, for my inspiration and motivation and hopefully for others.

This post is for ME, a reminder I can do it. And also away of accountability to myself that I can and will... One of the hardest things I have ever done...
My sweet angel Jake appears to be laughing at me.. I miss that dog.

Finally, comparison pics!! What a HUGE difference! Even your face is so much more noticeably skinnier. We always lose more weight at first, because it is such a huge change for our bodies. But as our system gets more and more used to dieting as the norm, things slow down. After I have been bad for a few weeks, I lose like crazy. Then it always slows down. You look healthier too. You are kind of glowing. You have great willpower. I think the older we are, the harder it is to change and to diet.

You have done FANTASTIC. I'm so proud of you. I know what you mean about the last 10 pounds. A couple years ago when I was doing really good I took off all but the last 10 I wanted to lose and I just couldn't get down any further. I really want to get back to what i was doing then but for some reason I can't get myself to do it. This year, I'll convince myself though

You really have made a great difference in your life by changing habits and getting healthier. It is HARD to loose weight when you are so close to your ideal weight. That's what I always tell others. When it gets that hard, it probably means you are where you need to be. You look great and I know you feel lots better. What a fabulous accomplishment. I'm so proud of you! Hugs!

I am so proud of you Sandra - keep up the meetings always and the weight will come off eventually. So did the neck skin just go away or did you have surgery? You look GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!

I need to make that decision myself...it is hard to do. I just need to make up my mind to do for myself...you sure would serve as an inspiration.

Kudos to you my friend. I know we have talked about this stubborn last 10 pounds so many times.
It's such a pain but you and I will do it!!
I need to get over that 2 pound plateau and then move on from there.
Your photos are awesome. What a comparison.
Keep it up...

Did I ever tell you, you're my hero?!? Favorite pix? #2 collage, top row far right … and of course, the last two. I can't recall. What does Bob say?
So … I'm starting over (again). 'Just returned from Wal-Mart WITHOUT a bottle of wine. But I did buy some avocado oil and Stevia drops. Gosh, it's hard to look back on my earlier pix and wonder what the h*** happened!

You are beautiful! I'm so proud for you...such an accomplishment! Do you know I have gained over 20 lbs since moving to NC. Not helping my health issues. I've always had chubby cheeks so even when I was 122lbs my face looked chubby to me. I'm 5'7". I really want pool in my next home. I may join the Y just to swim, but I've always disliked public pools.
Jake was telling his mommy she's pretty. :)
Congratulations pretty lady!
