Saving Money Accidently

YOU CAN SKIP THIS IF YOU DON'T Read E-books.

Saving money Accidently... thank you Myra. Myra of Respice, Respite, told me of a book she read and I might like it, since we share the same taste in authors. She said she got it in the Free Kindle unlimited books. I said it's not free, it is a monthly fee, She said really? ha ha I signed up for the free trial and here I am  6 months later, HOOKED on saving money. I READ A LOT. Use the library to fill my Kindle Paperwhite.

At our online library, we can place a hold on books, sometimes I wait 6 months to get the new Jack Reacher book which I am reading right now.

I don't read book reviews or make them. Below are the ones I read the first in the series and then finished all of them.

Matt Royal Mysteries by H. Terrell Griffin
Reed and Billie series by Dustin Stevens
Hawk Tate Series by Dustin Stevens
I read all the Leslie Wolfe series.

60 Books in 6 months at $9.99 a month for unlimited reading, means about 1.57 per book. Wow I am HOOKED ON KINDLE UNLIMITED..... it depends on the number of books you read per months. the subscription includes magazines also.. also Audio books

After reading all these books, I worried about the authors and if they get paid. yes, they do. the are paid by the pages we read.

Phil has a Kindle on his Fire. But you know that. Glad you are having fun with it!

I only read free books but I don't have kindle unlimited. I get a daily email that lists free or discounted books and I choose from there. Of course the down side to that is that I can't choose a specific author or if I like a story I can't read the next in the series without paying for it. I'm cheap though so this works for me...lol

Our Library does a scheme called 'Borrowbox' where you can download books and audio books, also reserve, its great.
Also we can get into a lot of the Libraries in the area when they are closed by putting a pin no into the machine on the wall.
I have to have a book on the go.
I'm listening to a book called 'Courtney's war' by Wilbur Smith at the moment, I've never read or listened to any of his books before and am really enjoying it.

thank you for caring about the author... Amazon, of course, keeps most of the money, but at least some filters through to the creator. I like to use Smashwords, where a lot of authors offer their books for free or a dollar whilst getting started. You can follow an author's progress (I like Al Rennie's "Clearwater" series - Florida!) and as they become popular their prices will rise, but loyal fans don't mind that! I would no way read enough to warrant paying a monthly subscription. YAM xx

9.99 unlimited reading a month plus all the other Prime perks - 2 day shipping, free videos, photo storage and on and on. With several grandchildren out of state and free shipping the annual cost pays for itself quite quickly; not to mention the points I earn and apply when something I want isn't in the regular budget.

As a serious genealogist, I currently I have 3 or 4 seasons of Finding Your Roots in my watchlist of videos which I watch on my T.V.

And on and on. They will have to do something stupid to lose me.

I have a kindle reader but haven"t used it in years. I got it for one purpose...to be able to read Hugo's Les Miserable (printed book print so tiny & able to enlarge print in kindle.)

Personally, I like holding a real book in my hand. And the fact we have an entire room full of shelves, I consider it an investment of first editions.

I check ebooks out from my library and they are getting better at having enough copies that the wait isn't so bad. I'll check on the books you mentioned...I love reading series! ENJOY!!! I read everything on my iPAD.

So cute you are! I'm no-where the reader I once was … but gosh, I'm LOVING that book you recommended (Pieces of Her)! If it wasn't for my tablet's dwindling battery, I'd probably have stayed up all night. $9.99 wasn't awful, but because I promised myself I'd only buy one/month, I need to check out our local library. Thanks for the reminder!

I guess I live in the dark ages...don't own a Kindle or I Pad or anything like that.
I used to read ALL the time but somehow I just have gotten out of the habit.
It's really sad...
I must get back into that mode.

I don't read much but I am hooked on getting free books for my Kindle app. I'm into love stories and I have free ones offered to me each day from BookBub, though Amazon, which I signed up for a few years ago.

I don't read enough any more for it to pay me, but boy, used to this would have been the deal of a lifetime. Though I do have a lot of free books I love, or ones that are on sale. Have paid full price for a few I LOVE and want on kindle, even though I have a hard copy. Plus I read from the library sometimes too, and also used to get audio books. I still get audio occasionally but don't get to listen to them very much.

Like you, I love to read! I have found lots of free books on Amazon, plus as a Prime member, they do have a selection of books at the beginning of each month that are free :-).

I will have to tell my hubs about it or ask - he has a kindle and LOVES to read.

I haven't picked up - or read online - a book for a couple of months! I am really surprised at myself. I have a lot on my list ready and waiting to go.

I do not know why but I cannot read a book unless it is paper and I can hold it in my hand. I read other things on my ipad or phone or laptop....but not books.

Im like Linda. I read in bed before going to sleep so I don't get through enough books to need a Kindle. We have a great library of volunteered books in our village hall. Bill likes Jack Reacher books.

I miss reading and have yet to switch to audio books. I seem to be in a trap of TV watching because we have a large screen but it is hurting my health as I fail to move enough daily. Glad for all who can make use of ereaders.
