Animated Gif tutorial

In a comment a few days ago, Beatrice Boyd of The Frog n Penguin, asked how I did the animated me pics. here is the tutorial . I used Google Photo Storage, very easy to use.
First take 2 or 3 photos that are very similar. You can do it with any photo but unless they are taken at same time will look like a slideshow instead of animation.

Go to Google.com and click on the 9 dots by your photo, click on the pinwheel, that is Google Photo Storage. My phone and tablet auto place photos there and I put the ones from my camera in it on my desk top or laptop. Upload or drag them there.

Find 2 similar photos click on the edge, see the blue checkmark above.. then click on the PLUS + and in the drop menu pick animation. it does it automatically, and when you click on the arrow at top left you go back to photos and there it is. click on it and go to top right and click download to save it in computer or share it where you want to with the share icon.

I created one with four photos to show that if photos are different the same steps make a slideshow.

I used to make animation gif files a lot (my software program has animation wizard) ...until I found out how large they are in pixel size compared to jpg files.

Love your smile.

Very cool, you've got the moves :) I made animated GIFs a long time ago in PSE but there was a lot more involved than this and kind of a pain in the butt.

My previous experience is with Animation Shop 3 with Paint Shop Pro. Haven't fiddled with that in a long time.

Well good morning, and I agree with Ginny, You Know Everything!!! Just yesterday I learned why so many photo files on my phone didn't sync to my PC. Then I waited about three hours for 2300+ photos to finally make their way to the Google photo storage which I can now access from both phone and PC.

Thanks so much for this detail! I remember stumbling through my first (and last) attempt. This way I can share with my non-blogger friend.
I, too, love that black/white blouse! … b/w photography … b/w dinnerware, yada-da-da-dah. :)

That was interesting - you do that or learn that all on your own? Do you just practice or read?
I was going to ask you a question. I went from XP to Windows 10 and I am struggling.
I am trying for next time to put something on my post that moves.

Kelly took a video of me doing something and sent it to me on google photos. On google photos it moves or plays for 30 seconds. I tried to post it on my blog for next time and it shows the picture and the arrow in the middle - but it will not play. Could I ask you how to put it on the blog from google photos and for it to play.
I think Windows 10 is horrible.
Thanks.

I never tried Google photos, now I have to check that out. You are keeping me busy this morning, but I already took my dogs out walking and playing with them. The sun is shining for the second day in a row. Yeah! Sorry about your heatwave that I hear about on the news.
