Bottom of The Barrel Nature

Literally this is the Bottom Of The Barrel, the Rain barrels is empty... We need rain....

Double Barrel, because I could

Mama climbed out of her bucket and sat on the edge of the empty barrel for about an hour. While I was snapping this photo Sunday morning. she fell to the ground and died. No idea why. Lack of rainwater we think.
RIP sweet Mama... I will miss you...

Oh that is so sad. Poor Mama. She looks like she's smiling in her final photo though.

Oh that's so sad...A fitting farewell to have her sit there for you.
The drought is really serious where you are...Hope it comes soon for all of you and the critters too.

Awwww, no! So she stayed in there even with no water? Wonder if she got too dehydrated... You can come here and get some of ours, it is to rain the next three days.

Oh no! I know. I tend to read too much into animal (and amphibians) expressions. While it looks like she's smiling, I think hers is a peaceful, resigned expression. "Turn out the lights, the party's over."

PS - Geeze. If man can finagle space travel you think we could redirect some of these storm systems to drought-stricken regions. Not like the floods in Houston, but we've had tons of rain and more is forecast this weekend.

How sad! It's raining here, but that won't do you any good. It's unusual for us to get this much rain in a season. Big thunder last night too.

Wish I could have sent the rain we had this week, Sandra. Sorry to read about Mama, maybe she missed her young’uns, but mist likely the lack of rain was a factor.
