The day before Cable Guy came, I cleaned 8 inches of dust off Lamp and Shade and Chair and about 20 inches off the wires behind the TV.
What is up with WIRES, they are Horrible Dust Magnets.
OR I am a horrible housekeeper!
See the kitchen chairs in the corner? Bob was mopping the floor while I was ….brahaha. sitting in the OTHER rocker taking photos. FOR YOU. NOTE! the only time the wires are cleaned is when the cable guy is coming... He was last here 2 years ago, or so he said.

Yes, why do wires collect so much dust? I think the electricity coming thru them creates static that draws dust like a vortex! I see your nook, and your pretty summery chairs, and that cute little shelf! I like seeing in people's homes.
It's webs for us! I can clean (once or twice a year) and always find webs. I hate it, but don't clean 'cause I don't like the feel of webs!!
I noticed the other day how much dust was accumulated on the wires behind my tv. Not only is my house full of dust but cob webs as well. You can look up in any room of my house and probably spot at least one cob web. I think when you clean one down two more pop up

Here, too, on dust on that pile of wires behind the TV! I actually do think they create some kind of magnetic pull....

LOL LOL LOL oh yes cables and lampshades are dust lovers.
We never move things like the fridge, tv, beds or any bedroom furniture.
Just not worth getting a slipped disk over. LOL When we got new carpet in 2016...things were moved. I'm surprised the installers didn't sue me for dust inhalation disease.

My whole house is a dust magnet. I don't know why the dust is so bad here...but I've given up the battle! lol You have a beautiful home!
We agree, wires are horrible when it comes to dust...which reminds me, I should get to dusting our wires too!
HA! I also feel compelled to clean in weird places before the pest control guy comes (each quarter). We've a fraction of the dust that used to accumulate in Arizona. But you're so right about the cords. What's up with THAT, anyway?
PS - Inquiring minds want to know if I'd find a garage or a closet if I were to open that door behind your rocker?
Sometimes those out of the way places only get dusted when "forced to". It's like cleaning before the cleaning lady comes...haha...
I'm cleaning kind of like that today because we have our small group potluck at our house tonight...
I saw a few corner cobwebs that must disappear by 6PM tonight !!!
It's suppose to reach 100F. today...ugh, too hot for company...going to give the fans and AC a workout today.
When I got my new computer I told the guy the back of it would be dusty - he said electronics pull in dust. When he saw it - he said I was in the upper three for dust - there is no way I can get in behind it!
My excuse for dust accumulating is that we live in an old mill and it's just antique dust and that shouldn't be disturbed...right?
My motto is there's always tomorrow, unless someone is coming and then the duster and vacuum come out :)
There are places that seem to only be cleaned when absolutely necessary.
Oh you are among the rest of us, man i would pre clean before my house cleaner would come - like what's up with that? Doesn't that defeat the purpose?? Since I've retired I decided to do my own house cleaning, now your encouraging me to check the wires. The other place is the curtain rods. I guess I don't look up very often haha.
There are wires behind our water bed that we can't get to at all. I try to vacuum them every once in awhile. They certainly do collect dust! Glad your's are all clean now.
Made my day! Out of sight, out of mind at our house. And sometimes in sight and out of mind!
