Village of the Arts 1

After so many of you commented on how much you loved the house in the header, I took a 20 minute ride and did some Out the Drivers Window Drive by Shooting. These two photos and the header were taken in 2014..

This is the same house, taken on Sept 17th 2019... In my humble opinion, this is a sad thing to do to a beautiful home. So Blah after the bright paint. It is still a yoga studio, but  I think it changed hands. When it was purple, it had art inside.
Don't Fret, I took 137 photos in my drive by shooting, soon to appear on this blog. About 5 of the homes are the same as they were in the past.

Oh MY! They have made it ordinary!! Nothing special or bright. SAD. I also see that the house goes back quite far, it must be bigger inside than it looks.

Hello,

I did love all the colors before they painted. It looked tropical and fun.
I think now they just blend in. I still love porches and greenery! Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy new week!

That's a big difference. I liked it better when it was bright and cheery.

Different strokes for different folks. Actually, I like both ways...but the 'old' colors were more fun and whimsical while the new colors are pretty too, and sudued.

I like both the last owners' decoration and now the new owners' way. I think the first suited the personality of the owners and its use if it was also an arty place. The main thing is that there are some beautiful homes in your area. Always love seeing the fences, porches and balconies.

I liked it better before! I mean, who doesn't prefer a lavender picket fence? heehee!

That house was probably a day brightener for a lot of folks. But, as my husband reminds when I am bemoaning similar changes, "If you don't own it, you can't control it."

Wonderful old home, but agree it could do with the brighter colour! YAM xx (still in travel mode...)

Somehow I can't imagine living in a yellow home, but I do think it makes for great pictures.

All the character is gone...

B-O-R-I-N-G!
But to be fair, I'm not sure I'd like to actually live in a purple-and-yellow house. Guess I'm just not zen. (Whatever the heck that is, anyway.)

I have to say it is still very nice looking - but it look like it grew up and got stuffy! The colors made it alive. sandie

I loved the colors in the first shot. I guess the artsy person moved out and a non-artsy person moved in. It makes a great header shot and I really like that pretty addition.

Yes the colors made it unique.
