Village of Arts 2

Next door to the house in the header is this brightly colored house. I call it the Crayon House. Sadly it is empty, there is a Realtor sign in the window. The Village of the Arts started out to become and artist colony of live/work homes. Greed took over and Investors Ruined it.

I would love to live in this house...… Would you?   This Crayon House I posted yesterday, the purple fence now gone beige fence. Tomorrow wait until you see what is on the other side. See that house in the corner? it is NEW... to be continue
UPDATE: found a link to show you it used to be a restaurant and photos of inside and back yard HERE

These houses are perfect for an artist colony. I do like the house but I don't know if I would want all those colors. I'm more of a plain Jane kinda person...lol

What a perfect name for the house. The fence could be sun yellow Crayola
Crayons guarding the rest of the vivid colors

Sitting here with mouth gaping …
I can't even! This makes me think of those old 'hippie' communes. ("If you come to San Francisco, you're gonna find there'll be a love-in there.")
For sale, you say? I think I'm going to do a Zillow search and see if they don't have pictures of the interior.

Interesting to look at, but too much for me to want to own it.

I'm a big fan of "Artist colony" type architecture and really like the colors of the place!

Love the colors and the vibrancy. If it was still a restaurant I would be going there. I love the quaint atmosphere.
Greed does so much to ruin so many things...

What a neat art community this must have been. I like yesterday's house best to live in but I would probably paint it to fit my personality. I like the pastels of coastal communities and would probable lean toward those type of colors. My current house is different then the other houses in our neighborhood but not enough to standout, which makes me more comfortable. Enjoy your day!

Okay so tell me - how did the investors ruin the area - what did they do exactly? That is such a shame! It was so cute.
