NOT in the village

This church and the houses below in the collages, are in the neighborhood between my house and the village of the arts. I drive through these streets to get to the village. Same style homes, different neighborhood.

This about to be fall color Maple is on our street about 10 blocks from home. Maples are rare here.

This is my most favorite home and this is the style I love.

Not only is your fav lovely on its own, but the beautiful trees around it make it even more inviting. Love the neighborhood tours!

These are lovely big houses. The church looks like Spanish architecture. There are lots of maple trees here, we live on Maple Avenue!

What a great front façade! But, all that Spanish moss would creep me out.

Great doors on that church! Do y'all live anywhere near Concordia Lutheran (on Wood Street)? My grumpy old uncle was the pastor there for lots and lots of years … yet, most summers my parents insisted we go visit. (Grumble) In fact, my dad paid for all of us to fly there in 1970 for my son's baptism.

I LOVE the feel of your favorite home...all the shade...just the way it is set back there. Love it.

The churches are similar, but decorated differently. I love the home you love - I like the trees too and the Spanish moss!

That's such a cozy looking bungalow. I love all the trees around it.
Lovely churches too.
Thanks for the neighborhood tours. It's fun to see how homes look in various parts of the states and the world for that matter.
Went to another church last night...the sermon was excellent but we just didn't feel comfortable there....where to now???

One of my fave past times is to drive around looking at homes and yards. I dream a lot...haha. Actually I like to see how others decorative their yards and is there something I could copy..but I just like driving.

You have such pretty scenery to dive through! No fall color here yet and not sure we will have any. 97 degrees today! UGH! I so want chilly weather and a fireplace and a sweater! I did get to wear one of my Halloween sweaters when we go to the ice rink to watch Mike play hockey!

All of them are really nice. I think my favorite is the 2 story blue house in the second set of pictures

Beautiful church and a lovely neighborhood. The Spanish moss hanging down from the trees is so Florida. I loved those mossy trees when I was there a few years ago.
