STUFF you do not need to know

For any of you that read yesterday's post and planted a pine cone. IT WILL NOT GROW.
😉😉😉😜
I should have remembered before I planted and posted that all things found on FaceBook are NOT TRUE..
I know this, but I did it anyway. I researched AFTER the fact.
here is a link if you want to grow a pine tree
We did not want a pine tree, we don't even like pine trees, this whole thing was started Because I could....I saw a tiny pine growing out of the top of a pine cone. it was Cute!

AMAZON Christmas Toy Catalog showed up in our mail box.  Amazon, Sears on Steroids! Again!
What a waste of trees! It is a mystery to me, why Amazon needs a toy catalog in the MAIL....
Did you get one?

I did get one, and I know why they send them. Because the little kids love looking through them and making their Christmas list! Ours have had lots of fun with catalogs this year, and it makes shopping easier for the parents and grandparents. Thanks for the heads up on the pine cone, it would be cute if it worked. Wonder why someone posted that? Maybe they believed it themselves.

I agree...why catalogs when most have access to the very same, online?

I guess I should have known that the pine cone thing wouldn't work but still the little tree sprouting from the picture was cute.
I remember going through the catalogs when I was litte. Then when I got older and my parents were divorced that was how my dad did his Christmas shopping. I gave him a list from the catalog with all the necessary information and he did his shopping from that.
Now with computers a catalog seems senseless but I enjoy going through them. I didn't get the Amazon one. Maybe I don't buy enough from them.

Hello,

I did not get one, maybe only for prime members. all the junk mail is a waste of trees. Our junk mail and catalogs go right into the recycle trash. Have a happy day!

I do not go on Facebook much but Tom is a fan. He's always sitting in his corner laughing at something or other and showing me things he's found. I told him not to believe everything he reads or sees but he still carries on. Oh well, as long as he's happy, LOL

So no pine trees for you!
No, I did not get an Amazon catalog.
But since there are no more Toys-R-Us maybe the kids go through that and pick out what they want Santa to bring.
My kids all did that.

No, I did not get a toy catalog....kind of wish I did...I could set down with it with Lorelei and look through it.

But that is what I think about so much of the mail I get...AARP is one culprit...every week it goes in the garbage. Another is St. Jude's...I would much rather give if they would leave off the bombardment of mail. I don't think there is a week goes by that I don't get one of from them. Even once a month I would come nearer donating.

And while we are at it...I shop at JoAnn fabrics maybe once every 4 or 5 months..I get their emails. They bombard my email with new emails everyday. I don't look at half of them. But I don't want to stop getting them because if by chance I do have to go, I will have a good coupon. But if they sent less I would look through them and maybe shop more.

HaHa...I hadn't thought about that! It really does seem like polar opposites.
I'm sure we will get a catalog soon too.
I'm glad I have no small kiddos to buy toys for any longer.
I think we're doing great in the Snicker dog sitting department. Can't believe she was quiet until 6:45 this morning! Now she's snoring on my feet under the table while I'm writing this.
she's getting old and her teeth are really bad. Yesterday was a good food eating day..today not so much but it's all good.
I'll try to take a few pictures today.
Hope your weekend is enjoyable.

'Sears on steroids' …. hahahah! I wonder if they're not trying to appeal to the retro enthusiasts. Anyway, if we do get one, it's going right in the trash. So many years looking for the 'perfect' something-or-another for Tom's grands and not so much as a thank-you.

'Relieved to know I can't grow a pine tree; at the rate Tom and I are going, pretty sure we wouldn't be around to see it grow up.

I have not gotten a catalog in the mail from Amazon but I get a lot of things that go right into the recycling bin. Yes it is a waste of trees!

No to mail from Amazon. They print this ad stuff to keep ad businesses going. Lots of jobs remain in ad publishing using paper and ink. It will phase our slowly once all people can be reached on devices. Facebook is no longer of any use to me.i find it so sad that all good has to be turned into abuse by some. Evil will always lurk around because all brains are not developed with the same chemistry. And that sure is evident as we see globally how much crockery is out there.
