The Nook is Merry and Bright and Full of Light!
I took these photos at the same time, same camera.
Please tell me what I did that causes the candles to look like different colors. What color do you think the candles are?
scroll down below last photo for answer.
The candles are white, non scented. I am allergic to scents. the only difference is the angle I shot from, gold step to left, pink step to right...

Unbelievable! Why did this happen?? My guess was that one was shot with flash and one without.
That's crazy, I'm with Ginny, perhaps it was a flash thing. The candles sure look peaceful.
I love your nook! And I am so sorry you are alergic to scent! That is so unfair. I love fragrance! Tonight was our bee meeting Christmas dinner. I told Sherry I was wearing a Chinese medicine patch on my knee and that the smell is pretty strong.....especially when you mix it with my perfume! But sine I rode a tractor to the gate where we met Dean and the truck and arrived at the meeting with mud down the front of my pants and - down the backside as well. WHICH I did not know or see and there I was in my Christmas scarf and fancy Christmas sweater! At the very end - after I had stood in front of everyone to make an announcement and then walked to the bathroom - a lady followed me and tapped me on my shoulder. She said, "I have been watching you all evening and did you know you have brown stuff smeared down your back leg of your pants?" NO! I did NOT know that!! She helped me clean it off and I just wish she would have said something earlier when she first saw me. Never mind that SHerry never noticed or Dean! At least I smelled nice! Unless someone was allergic and then I'm sure they got a headache!!
That's happened to me before ...for instance sunrise: hint of blue one angle, while another direction, the blue has a shade of aqua. I think it's particles in the air that reflects differently.
I don't know why the colors differ, but the candles are so beautiful! Maybe because of the flame ...... I don't know!
Have a nice day Sandra!

Physics. Something to do with physics. But who cares. Beauty wins out!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
I was going to guess that you took one with flash and one without. It's amazing what a difference there is with a little change in the light direction.
Love learning about how to photograph things and make changes! You are so smart!
Whatever the reaso . I love both shots.
I love smells, but can't take them either. I would have guessed at first like an apricot color.
Yeay, I guessed right/white ….. for a change! Only you, the MadSnapper, would pause to regard the difference in the ambient lighting.
Since her veterinarian suggested our burning candles all the time may have contributed to Caraleigh's heart and lung issues, I refuse to light another candle in the house.
I love candles but the fragrances drive my nose nuts too.
That's why we got an artificial tree...can't take the smell as much as I love a real tree.
Interesting lighting and I really don't know the answer but maybe as everyone else has said, its the flash or back lighting reflection. No matter they are both lovely.
Going on our Wednesdate in a few and then it's back to eBay projects. Just sold 2 things but still waiting for payment on one...hope it comes through ASAP.
Your merry and bright nook makes me smile.
I thing the color difference is the flash and lighting.
Both beautiful
Hugs Cecilia
Both are soooo pretty, was the outside light different maybe??
They are pretty and it's interesting that the colors changed like that.
Either color sets a festive mood with the candles and those little lights. I usually enjoy cinnamon and other holiday scents in small doses but stronger and I have to flee. Perfumes are even worse for me. Being near an individual who has been enthusiastic about perfume application is torture if a quick, unobtrusive escape is not possible.
Both color versions look great. It is amazing how a slight change in angle can make so much difference.
Just beautiful! I love the lights and candles! Have a happy day!
so fast another year had passed. It's christmas once again and we have yet to put up our tree.
Fire warning :) ... Yes, I guessed they were white.
I guessed white before I saw your answer but I like them tinted pink!
