Soooo excited

We have a recycle container now,  its NEW and it's  BLUE!
I am so excited to present it to YOU!
It came with photos and words of what we can insert,
a list of things the city can revert.
Plastic Bottles and containers, glass bottles and jars, just rinse and recap,
walk out to the container, drop in and drop lid with a snap!
Cardboard, Paper, and food/beverage cartons are things  we can place
In our new Blue Container, to save our planet and garbage dump space.
The white truck, will pull to the curb,
Every Wed is pickup, isn't this superb?

NOTE: we have had curb recycle for about 20 years, but only paper, clear glass and aluminum cans

This is very cool. No place nearby that I know of has curbside recycling. The one or so places that had it, they have stopped doing it. We do have a recycling center in the city, a few minutes away. I have pics and mean to do a post on it sometime.

Hello,

Very nice! We had the two trash cans while we were in Lakeland Florida too. Here in Maryland we do the recycle trash on Monday and regular trash is Wednesday picked up at the end of our driveway.

I have 3 containers ... echo, paper and regular waste!
The plastic and metal go in a special bag that we receive from the municipality …
We bring the glass to a special container ourselves.
But with the waste sorting we are beginning 20 years ago!

This is so cute! Have you thought about sharing it with the City of Bradenton … or a letter to the editor?
Years ago, when recycling became a 'thing' it took me longer than most to feign enthusiasm … then it became a habit. So, imagine my surprise when we moved here and they don't offer recycling pick-up of any kind. We've a burn barrel where Tom feeds our cardboard boxes, etc. but I still feel guilty tossing out aluminum and glass.

WooHoo they are exactly like ours except ours say City of Raleigh.
Our pick up is Tuesday and it always seems to be raining on Monday the day we roll it to the curb. LOL

We had curbside recycling pickup where we used to live.
Now we have a green rolling tub for green waste and everything else goes in the "garbage" can.
All the recycling is done at a facility that separates everything from the actual garbage.
We recycle all our cans and glass and take them to a center (which is getting harder to find one open) so we get the few dollars ourselves.

What a beauty! Our recycling seems to have gone with the wind...

Good for you! Fort Worth has that same kind. Irving still picks up trash in bags. They also pick up blue bags of recycle. I need to get some of those blue bags....

We recently, as in the last couple of years, got the same kind of bins. We have a blue one for recycling , a green one for compost and a black one for garbage. I really like this system.

Very cool. The only recycling we have around here are places you can go to drop things off. The next town over used to have curb side pick up but I don't know if they still do it. They had to have all their stuff seperated though.

That's exciting! They don't have any by my dad and sister. My niece has to take her recycling somewhere.
