The New Glasses are home

My eyes were examined on Nov. 25th, 2019. My new featherlight, trifocal, glare free lens, are in the titanium frames and ON MY FACE. I finally picked them up on Feb 5th.  Two Optical Shops, Two lens factories, 4 errors... ahhhhh Capitalism… NO WORRIES! I have them and I can see.

I did NOT have to make a spectacle of myself, I waited with out having a hizzy fit. And now if stopped for speeding, I can say, Officer, I have been framed. Heh Heh Heh

My friend Madeline did not forget our anniversary, she sent this card to us on the 7th, followed by a call. After discussing the 35th anniversary is on the 8th, I told her I would post this on the blog on the 8th. Well now, today is the 9th.... this means we got 3 days in a row of Anniversary.....
Isn't this card perfect? and we must remember, my memory is a lot older than our Anniversary date.
Just so you know, Bob chose to go out for breakfast and we both had sausage gravy and biscuits, eggs and bacon.

Happy Anniversary! I love your light frames and glasses. I have had a month of it! In between we have "loadshedding" which is frustrating to say the least. Everything goes off ; even the portable WiFi which I use when the farm WiFi - run by electricity - is off. Hence the long break in posting. And I have a new notebook/laptop. Getting used to it, is all a challenge. Have a great day. Jo

I really like your new glasses. Are there very thin frames surrounding the lenses or are they secured by something similar to thin fishing line. Heavy frames are so uncomfortable to me,the nose pieces feel like they are pulling my eyelids down at the corners and making my eyes dry. Plus, I just don't like glasses frames that are so obvious, even though they seem to be the style now. I would prefer people notice my eyes instead of my glasses frames.

I would appreciate it if you could tell me the name and maker of your glasses frames. They are just what I am looking for. I am currently wearing thin lightweight metal frames with prescription lenses from three prescriptions ago, because my most recent frames were bothering me so much. Thanks.

Glad you like the glasses …
I will be very happy if I dare to buy lenses in one go!
Have a nice Sunday!

Congratulations on both accounts. Why trifocals? When Buddies thick lenses are made rot hey take ages but two to three weeks not months.

Love the glasses. I need new ones-only use them for driving and tried to have them use my same frames from LAST YEAR at the SAME PLACE and the witch...er...girl...told me that was illegal. Yeah-right! And then told me it would be cheaper to buy new frames and lenses. Do you think she works on commission? Seriously.

Love the card and Happy Anniversary. xo Diana

It took me a few minutes to even SEE your new glasses. Maybe I should have gone that route … this is all soooo confusing. It sounds like yours were worth the wait!

What, we've known one another 3 years and I still didn't remember your anniversary? That's NOT happening again. (*Hurrmph to self*) Your breakfast sounds amazing. I've finally accepted the fact, eating is one of my most enjoyable activities. :)

Happy Anniversary !!!! What a darling card from Madeline

Thank goodness you didn't have to have a hissy fit which would surely have resulted in a spectacle.

This is the perfect card for you. Are the glasses doing O.K.? I want to see what you really look like in them! They seem to really suit your face. Finally, it was about time! What really funny puns today! Again, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!! You SHOULD take the entire weekend to celebrate one this big.

what a Spectacle...they look great on you and I'm so glad they are finally on your face.
Cute anniversary card and I am super happy you went out for breakfast and had a real country meal to celebrate.
We went to our son's home for dinner last night..he was just diagnosed with pre diabetes. He's doing like I did at first and is going cold turkey on his eating habits. So proud of him ...he has already lost 14 pounds and is feeling so much better. Steve can't wait until his March follow up appointment at the Dr. He's going to be a new man when he goes. We had chicken wings, brussel sprout slaw and a huge green salad with plenty of "legal" goodies in it. Good tasting and good for all of us.

What a cute card. I was going to make sausage gravy and biscuits for dinner tonight but I had no energy so I guess I'll make it tomorrow.

When you have that many years under your belt, I think you get as many days as you want to celebrate. Congratulations! We're at a mere 27 this year, you got us beat. Love the puns as always. Enjoy your day!
