Good News!

photos from last week, showing what most yards look like.
The two houses above are next door to each other. One has a sprinkler, the other does not.

I went to pop all these pics in collages and the new PicMonkey is NOT quick. I found a new best friend.

Photoscape X, a free download unless you want the PRO, which is not bad at 39.99.

PicMonkey is internet only, PhotoscapeX can be used without internet access.

If you decide to get it, use Microsoft/Apple app stores only... this LINK to Microsoft that I used.

some of the free downloads can have malware in them...

The good news is we had 20 hours of steady rain, about 3 inches

Now we are turning Florida Green.
Not Big though, he is still BLACK and beautiful

what a difference in these two yards! The tree trunks look like braided hair. So if I use the link, it could have Malware?

Yippee!! You got rain...I knew that after you told me about the birds in the puddles yesterday. Big is so impressive, a handsome fellow. And I love the collage frame you used with all the angles.

Hello

There is a huge difference, the sprinkler does keep the grass green.
Especially if you do not have much rain. Cute shot of BB!
Have a great day!

That is some difference in those two lawns. If you have metered water though the one with sprinklers must be paying a fortune in water bills.
The collages are great. Looks like you are having fun learning how to use it.

Yippee Skippee glorious rain.
That is the only way our lawn is watered. Raleigh water is $$$$$$$$
thankful our yard is well established. Even in the hottest weather when it crisp as bacon a little rain brings it back.

Hooray for the rain! You needed it, but I guess it's not enough. We had a dry April and a very wet March, but still the ground is dry and needs more rain to liven up the plants. Rain has been forecast for this week. Walking the dog is good exercise. You have comfortable shoes on for walking as I do too. Most serious walkers here wear walking boots, but I like soft leather shoes. I use free Photoscape for editing. It does the simple editing that suits me for my blog although standard PicMonkey was better and I don't think it's free now.

What a difference! I remember my little mother religiously setting out the sprinkler, setting the timer and going back out again (and again) to move it. For a small house, it seemed her back yard was ridiculously large -- but then, I've never been a fan of the Great Outdoors.

Thanks for the link -- and caution about malware. I love that it doesn't require internet access.

I use photoscape....the free version and I'm still finding neat things to use...like the frames. We didn't get that much rain but it still looks so pretty and green right now! YAY! Take care!

Good to hear that you have rain. We had rain, lightening and thunder last night.

Thank you for your interesting info on the apps. Happy you got that much needed rain. We are always amazed how quickly our grass starts to go brown when we have had a dry spell. BB looks as beautiful as ever :)

So glad you got a huge rain for everyones yards and that the air got refreshed.
So happy Big didn't turn green from all the rain.
Did he do alright with the storm and thunder?
Yesterday sure didn't feel like Sunday and now it's Monday again...I keep looking at my calendar to remember what day it is...

Glad you are enjoying PhotoscapeX, Sandra, as it was one of the free photo editors I posted about a couple of weeks ago. I have been using it for most of my recent collages. I am also using Fotor, another free photo editor mentioned in that post. At some point I may buy the Pro version of PhotoscapeX because it's far less costly than Photoshop Elements which updates so often and the last one I bought would not work when the Mac operating system was upgraded to only 64 bit. The free photo editors have been working great!

Great you got some rain. It's all green around here right now, soon to be mowed down by my helper Mark. Then my landscape will turn to dirt once more, but will be safer (and it is required) for wildfire safety. The way the wind has been blowing for weeks now, I will not feel safe if that continues into the summer.

I've heard of picmonkey but never tried it. Good to know there are options. That's fun. I use Affinity stuff. Love it and still learning about it.
