Way back in the mid 1970's, my friend Loretta bought a recipe book called 1001 Ways to use hamburger. Back then, we could get 5 lbs of burger for $3.00. The book was a big deal.
I introduced Bob to Crustless Pizza and every time I ask for input on what to cook for next week, this is his answer. We both love it.
Pick the pan of your choice, the size of your choice, the amount of burger of your choice. I use 80/20 because it taste better...
I make a big one because I hate to cook and this heats well for days.
Quick Recipe
Burger
Pizza Sauce
Dark/Light Kidney Beans, drained
Shredded cheese
(below is how I make ours. the good news is, if you live a lone you can make it with a very small piece of burger, and make a single pizza in the toaster oven. You can even just use a can of beans drained, add a little sauce and a little cheese and eat with a spoon)
This lasted us a whole week. Cut a square the size of your choice, make a small salad while the microwave heats it and Voila, meals for a week, and only cook once. Above is raw, I forgot to take a shot after cooking it because it smelled so good the three of us dove on it right away.

May I ask what was your weight back in the mid 1970's?
And now? LOL
Have a nice Sunday! 🤗
P.S You wake up very early this Sunday ... Why?
Do you mean what we call beef mince?

Hello,
Sounds easy and yummy too! Thanks for sharing.
Wishing you a great day!
Girl, you've got my mouth watering! Burger meat is a staple in our house, but it's getting harder to find the 80/20 we like. (Ahem, butchers … when all you've got left is that nasty 90/10 or 73/whatever, you want to re-think your inventory?)
ANYway, I'm going to make this -- sans the beans. Tom would never let me in the kitchen again if I tried serving him beans. (*grin*)
You got spam!
Roger would have loved this before his stroke...now, I don't know. He doesn't like so many things he used to like!
Yummmmmmmy and how wonderful it fits into your TOPS of nowadays too!!
Hugs Cecilia
This sounds wonderful, but Himself doesn't like to eat beef. I don't think this would work with ground turkey. I prefer ground beef to ground turkey any day. In your comment, you said puzzles make you crazy. I guess one person's Calming Place is another person's Crazy Place. Many people suggest I try knitting. I think it's because they want to see me have one of my fits.
I love new recipes, and this one is a dandy!! I hope you will post more. Trying new ones makes it more fun to cook for me. I usually try about two new recipes a week, thanks to Pinterest. I remember when hamburger was fifteen cents a pound. And my grocery allotment for a week was $15.00.
I am going to save that. Can you use spaghetti sauce? Or does it have to be pizza sauce?
Looks like a great recipe. Thanks Sandra 😊
It looks very yummy. We use the similar ingredients in a large pot with two types of beans and canned tomatoes so it is like a Chillie sauce but not spiced. It is then served in a bowl one day with cheese. Another day it is severed on a slice of rye and so in. We make it last three suppers and an occasional lunch. We have even put it on pita added cheese and Italian spice to. Bake in toaster oven as a personal sized pizza. Salad is served at each meal. Many varieties. Now I am hungry .
Sounds good. It's kind of like my "Glop" I make. Hamburger, spaghetti sauce , green beans, kidney beans, onions all simmered together...can be used in many ways and freezes well.
Now I'm hungry...I think I would get tired of anything for a full week of eating it. Got to change it up in between.
The sky has opened up ad it's really a downpour. Don't think we will get a walk around the block today.
...and I bet it's delicious. Looks yummy. And here I just said to Bud I'm hungry for pizza. I have ground turkey thawing...I may just make this & subsitute for beef.
I usually don't eat meat except for chicken every now and then, but this crisis has made me want some hearty good meat and this recipe sounds perfect.
Now if I could just go to the store!
I will copy it and order the stuff when I place my order. I plan to use WM pick up option.
What's 80/20? I haven't had a burger since the 1970s, so I don't know much about the meat.
That looks really good and easy. Easy is my favourite way to cook.
Great idea!
I recall that book or was 100 things to do with ground beef and there was one for chicken
I may have to try this. I hate cooking any more and this is easy enough that it wouldn't even feel like cooking.
Thanks for sharing your recipe.
