Nature Friday PowderPuff Down

The answer to yesterdays photo, What is it?

It is a magnifier for reading paperback books. just the right size. I have had it for years.

Each year Bob hacks back the powder puff bush and each year I am impressed that he can still hack with the best even though he is 83 years old.

Can you find the 3 hidden Bobs"
I was bored, so I played Hide Bob In the BUSH
Don't fret, he did not touch the hibiscus bush that is right next to the one he cut down.

The Hibiscus is gorgeous! Especially with the deep greens and blue, blue sky. Boy, was I wrong about the magnifier! I thought it was plastic flatware. I love hide-the-Bob, and I found them ALL!

Thank you for the pics. Your Bob is like my Andy (85 years old), still going strong.

No. I would not have guessed that the mystery object was a magnifier. Very useful. Bob looks like the Green Man especially in the Spot Bob collage. Do you know what I mean? It's a face surrounded by leaves or made from leaves and is a symbol of Nature in Springtime. I have a pottery bird bath Green Man fixed to a wall in the garden. The hibiscus is beautiful, so are the blue skies.

Well, that looks like a healthy growth for both (even tho you're without rainfall). Your Bob does good work!

(I would've never guess a magnifying glass)

yup found them! Same age as my dad, who can only sleep 18 hours out of 24 and barely shift from chair to wheelchair to bed... Love the magnifier! YAM xx

Hello,

I found all 3 Bob hiding. The hibiscus is beautiful, one of my favorite plants. I think we have one of those magnifiers around here too. Take care, enjoy your day!

You remind me that I have a magnfier like that. My question is: Where??

Never would I have come up with that magnifier … good one, MS! My mom kept one in her top desk drawer, but I've no idea whatever happened to it.

83 y/o and still chopping definitely deserves bragging rights. Love the 'hidden Bob' effects! Now, I want a hibiscus … or several! (If I could ever get out of the house …..)

I want that hibiscus, too! Well, I was on the right track with magnifying glass...but I kept thinking I have never seen one with a handle like that. That's because it is the magnifying glass.

Bob is so blessed to have that kind of strength at his age. Amazing! I love those Hibiscus flowers.

Boy, your Honey is quite the guy.
I'm so gad he feels well and strong enough to do this work.
Keeps him busy while we have to shelter in place...
Love the hibiscus too...so pretty.
Love the hidden Bobs , especially the one of him peeking our from the branches close up. It looks like a statue.
