Strike Three!!!

My brain has gone walking dead on me

IN ONE WEEK...….make that 8 days.... 3 strikes and my MEMORY IS GONE!

1.  Woke up, no coffee...… water in container, filter with coffee in it on counter, Pot sitting on counter. . did NOT turn on auto switch. For that I was thankful since if I pushed the button hot water would have run all over the counter and floor.

2. Woke up, no coffee.... Water in pot, sitting in the machine. Did not pour in container. Did not push auto button, but did put ground coffee in filter and place where it goes, put lid down.

3. Woke up, no coffee.... Lid to container UP, filter with coffee in container, with container on counter, pot where it goes, water in container. It appears I started to make it and wandered OFF.

Strike Three....at 4 AM and  Bob said WHAT IS GOING ON?   I said if I knew that, there would be COFFEE when we GET UP......

It has been 10 days WITH Coffee...……...so far!
NOTE: Monday AM, I set the timer for 20 minutes and did not push the start button. Not the coffee but the jello that was frozen by the time I remembered it. Don't ask why it was in the freezer.

At least you have plenty of variety in your absentmindedness! Each time it was different! We have to do something the SECOND we think of it, otherwise we get distracted, or think we will just do something else first. It is so easy to think of something else, and wander off to do it, then get so involved we forget what we had been doing.

I'm not a coffee drinker, but Bud has done the very same....mostly hot water coming from the coffee maker. His remedy on those days is the French coffee press...or sometimes tea.

I've woke up to no coffee before and it's just not a good way to start the day :).
I don't have to ask why the jello was in the freezer because I've put it in the freezer before. I've also forgot to hit start on the timer. I actually do that frequently at work.

No coffee drinkers here but relating to what's going on with the rest of you when it comes to memory. So why doesn't 'misery loves company' bring me comfort, sigh.

At least it does not take too long to brew a pot...also, jello on freezer is better than a Cole that is forgotten.

Ooooooooh my gosh! I think whatever's infecting your noggin is in mine, as well. A little bit ago I went to link up my post and Blogger wouldn't let me in … kept saying "wrong password." (Heart starts beating faster.) Remembered that I hadn't turned off the computer last night and began imagining cyber criminals at work while we slept. ANYway. I went through all the steps to reset my password, then belatedly realized I was using my e-mail user ID, not the one specific to Blogger. (SMH)
Frozen jello actually sounds refreshing in warm weather!

Been there done that too many times to count. But, the biggest problem I had was emptying the pot from the day before. It's a carafe, so you can't see if it has anything in it. Therefore it's easy to forget to empty it. Spills on the counter and floor have happened more than I care to remember. But, now that hubby drinks decaf and me regular I'm making 2 separate pots. I seem to be doing better, plus if I forget on mine (his is a regular pot that you can see), my pot isn't full. Only making a partial. Good luck.

Sorry but I'm laughing right now. It's not funny in a funny sort of way, I'm just glad I'm not the only one with a absent mind. Hang in there, things could be worse.

Hello,

I am always concentrating when I do my coffee, I do not use a timer though..Trying hard not to spill the water or coffee all over the place. I can not start my day with out my coffee. Enjoy our day!

Oh Sandra...I had to giggle at this, because I have done the same thing...and have been known to not have the coffee pot underneath soa I DID get water everywhere!

This virus has us loosing our minds. Being on my computer takes me longer than it ever did. I think I'm beginning to wonder why I waste my day doing this stuff. I should be reading and cleaning out closets and drawers. However I love my friends and I can't leave.

I started frying bacon the other day and went in the camper for something and totally forgot about the bacon! Hood thing Louis Dean and his son were sitting out there in the front room! What is WRONG with us?? I've been doing the same thing!!

Don't feel bad. I use my dishwasher for storage because I wash dishes by hand, but at the bottom is a little alarm with a big noise that triggers if it gets wet. That's because in the past I've left the water running in the sink with the stopper in, and then have gotten distracted, of course. Big mess all over the floor. Now if I do that I'm warned before it can do too much damage.

HaHa...oh Sandra...Life is never dull with you is it??
My memory has some spaces in it too, but not quite as entertaining as yours...(:0)
We finished our Root project at 6 PM tonight..
Now I am completely "Done"...no walk around the block for us today.
When one doesn't have all the right equipment jobs sure take longer and a whole lot more elbow grease.
I posted pictures on FB tonight.
Take care of your self and Happy Cup of Coffee !!!

I'm smiling at this. A few times now I have made morning coffee but it's been mid afternoon when I have remembered that I now have cold coffee in the pot.
