Talk to my mask

I wore this mask to Walmart, and all the other old people shopping the senior hour had on mask of some kind.

This is a N95 whatever that means, a car pulled in my driveway and my Friend Jackie and her daughter CC, had brought me 2 of these because my home made one made my glasses fog in the cold store.  I stood the correct distance from the car and the 3 of us talked and talked...

The good news is, No make up needed, and even if my hair is a mess, know one can recognize me.
I did wear a little make up because like wearing clean underwear when you go out, the face under the mask has to look OK.

I mean what if I got in a car accident, or fell down in the store parking lot and the EMTS came to help me and saw me with no makeup.... Then I would be transported to ER where the doctors and nurses would see me with no make up. PLUS I might be there for weeks with NO MAKE UP ON..

of Course no one could come visit, so I guess it doesn't matter.  Linda Chapman do you wear makeup under your mask? Myra?

I got a basket for a lady that was in line without one, she shared a wipe with me for helping her. we chatted from 6 feet away while in line and it was odd talking to someone and not being able to read their face...   And the Oddest of All, is I felt like I was a bird let out of a cage... Woo HOO! a Walmart speed shop. we all go fast and get out... But I did get to TALK... Bob says he is afraid i might blow up from lack of letting off steam talking.

DO you vote for number 1 or 2 of MY BEST SIDE?   in case you need help 1 is at the top and 2 at the bottom... OK i will be rambling on off now...... Bob was right I MAY EXPLODE right here on this blog.

I like your first picture better. The last one has you looking mysterious and like some kind of spy. Remember when Jethro in The Beverly Hillbillies wanted to be a double naught spy? TOTAL non sequitur!! Anyway, I am so glad you have a fancy proper mask! They are worth more than gold now. Matter of fact, don't spread it around that you have one...

You look good. I haven't worn lipstick in weeks!

I'm so glad you protect yourself from corona ... very sensible! I can't choose between 1 and 2 ... so I vote for both!
Stay at home, stay healthy! Hugs!

Let's face it (no pun intended) masks are fast becoming the new fashion statement. I just crocheted one last night - and going to have another go today, refining that prototype... YAM xx

I swear ... it's like shopping on a movie for some kinda sci-fi thriller isn't it?

I'm not a social person, so getting in, and getting out as quickly as I can is all the much better for me. I like your pose in #1 best.
Keeping my fingers crossed that my comment publishes. Internet issues on my side.

I can't choose because I think both sides look good.
I went to Walmart Saturday for the first time in several weeks. I had heard that they were only letting 50 people in at a time but there were WAY more than that in the store and the lines were long

Hello Sandra,

You look great in your mask. I never wear makeup. For our state it is mandatory now for everyone to wear mask in the grocery and pharmacy stores, any retail store. Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy, healthy new week!

I vote for the first one, too. Lol about the make-up

What a nice gesture, Jackie getting you that N95! (I wasn't sure what that was, either - except they're more precious than gold.)

Again, I'm laughing and nodding my head like a bobble-head doll about the cosmetics dilemma. I've been awfully lazy about applying make-up (not). Then, when I made an effort the other day, it did wonders for my morale. So yeah, at least I'm applying pencil to my non-existent eyebrows and liner. Still debating whether I want to brave WM tomorrow morning or just stick with the smaller market near home.

Forgot to vote! I'm going with #2, just because it looks like you're contemplating something naughty. :)))

I like the first one because of the twinkle in your eyes. I've not been off the property in 41 days now. A younger friend picks up and delivers groceries for me. Don't know when I'll venture forth again. I enjoyed shopping via your adventure in doing so. Thanks for sharing ~ FlowerLady

Today was my VERY first trip to Walmart since March 10th. I went at 8 am
not many inside but I had on my mask as did all employees and about 3/4 of the folks shopping. I hear you on the foggy glasses. LOL

PS I too love that no makeup required.

Got my super jollies from the comparison of no-make-up under mask comparison with mothers' admonitions to wear clean, no-holey underwear in case you were in an accident. Will young moms in years to come regale their teenaged daughters with Covid-19 mask and makeup horror stories?

That was nice of your friend to bring the masks over and nice of you to get a cart for the lady in the store. I vote for #1

I think that mask works for you on both sides :)
I hope you and Bob are doing good and staying safe.

Either one is good. I told the guys at the garage the other day that, you know you don’t get out much when a trip to the garage is exciting .

Everytime we go out to a store, which is less and less these days, and I see the various forms of bought and homemade masks it reminds me of some bad science fiction plot. I wouldn't be surprised to read that an author is actually writinbg a story based on mask wearing. I also liked the first mask photo of yours in this post, Sandra. As for no makeup, my reply is "who cares" but clean underwear is quite a different story.

N95 means it keeps 95% of all particles out - it is the best you can buy I think. I have one - bought it a long while ago. I am having trouble mentally wearing it - like conspicuous. Isn't that silly - others are wearing them. I tell you what - I just am watching GA is opening up this Friday - Phase 1 - I can't believe it. You looked cute in both pictures. sandie

I actually take my glasses off when I put my mask on because they fog up so badly! I like the sassy look in your eyes in the second picture!

Speaking of not getting out much -- we did our speed shopping yesterday, and I was exhilarated today because I did some laundry, which meant several trips to the laundry room! (It's in a separate building so I had to go outside.) How exciting is that??

I like the second picture best, because of the angle of your head.

In more ways than one I do not think you have a bad side :)

I vote for both sides. I wear a mask when I saw stuff or work with reno and demo and I've got makeup on. Some days I don't. Like today, I have smudged makeup on.
