In The Bag, but why?

I have never played dominos or even seen it played, or held a domino in my hand. This past week, Bob came in the front door and tossed this bag on my laptop. It had the domino inside. Seems there is a new Resturant in town.

The name is Table Talk, the online address is HERE  It is 3 minutes from our home. The walls are floor to ceiling book cases full of board games. I think it is a great idea, but right now, in a Pandemic, is not a time to eat and play games that other people have eaten and played with.....

Play, Eat, Talk  just screams spread the virus to me.... I said to Bob, why is there a domino in the bag, what is if for?  He said So they could ride by and throw it out their window in our driveway...

What think ye? any thoughts? My thougts, clever advertising, great idea to play and eat except for the germ factor, The menu looks wonderful and affordable. I hope I can remember it is there AFTER this pandemic is over. Will it ever be over?

It IS very clever, and would be so much fun to try! A real adventure. BUT not now, for sure! I just read a study that China found Covid on salmon and wings, and it survived for days at 39 degrees. It is THERE on food, but we still don't know if you can catch it that way. We have been too afraid to even go to a drive thru! Just heard on the news that people over 70 have a FIVE TIMES higher risk of dying from Covid.

I thought sure 'nough it was Dominos pizza. I wanna go out to dine for a fact...but, even withOUT virus, I'm not I'd never want to play germ-ridden games.

It is actually a fine concept... but I agree 100% about this being far from the place to visit during the current crisis. Which is sad for the business, but this is where we are in life now... it seems an eternity. YAM xx

I thought Domino's pizza, too. No. Not the best idea right now.

Hello,

A restaurant with board games sounds like a fun place. But, not with this pandemic happening. Hubby and I will not eat inside any restaurant. Take care, enjoy your day. Happy weekend!

What a clever way to advertise. I wonder how many of those bags they threw into driveways. That's also a clever idea to have all those games. It certainly would make for a nice family outing.

I love the theme but you sure wouldn't catch me going any time soon!

We always played dominoes at 'Nannie's' house. The old fashion black and white ones. I may still have them. I'm not much of a board game player; don't like to wait for my turn. (what's that tell ya--haha) I won't be going healthy or not.
The RG and I play a game of 500 rummie after dinner most nights. Even then, I'm up cleaning up the kitchen when its his deal.

💯! Way clever marketing and I love the not-so-subtle nudge for folks to put down their phones and talk to each other. All that aside, no way I'd like to play in that petri dish.

Never played dominos either either. Nope not a good time to open this new concept restaurant. YIKEs I won't even go to the library to check out a book and you know how I like to read. So I finally was pulled into the 21st century of reading on my iPad and I like it. No worries about germie books

Very clever. I bet they do have to keep it clean. You could always wear plastic gloves to play - just kidding. I agree with you. ♥ A little early.

I think it would be fun once this is over with, if ever it will be. Hope you are well, I've been a bit absent, but I think about you and hope Big is doing OK.

I'm not big into playing games, but it sounds like a fun restaurant for those who are.

Even if the timing isn't good it sounds like a fun restaurant and I wish them well.

Obviously I wouldn't go to eat there at this time but that's a very cleaver way to advertise.

I agree with your comments, Sandra, about the safety of playing games there now and hopefully the place will survive and you can give it a try -- for the food. And we enjoy dominoes and miss playing our weekly game(s) at the local senior center.

We like to stay close to home. We did have dinner at a local steakhouse but there like ten people there. Very sad. We take our vitamins and we wear the mask when we shop. I don't think I'd like to share games right now. But it is sure clever. :-)
