Beau has made himself right at home. Which is good, no fear, no bad nerves, just a gentle soul looking for love and a good home.

I meant to say yesterday that I have never heard of Catahoula before. I'm assuming it's some kind of large breed dog though. He looks like he is very comfortable with Bob.

Sweet photo! I don't believe I have ever heard of a Catahoula dog. I'm checking that out on Google right now.

Well that's very interesting. A beautiful dog and you can definitely see Beau's heritage.

"The word catahoula is of Choctaw origin and is translated to mean “sacred lake.” Catahoulas are the only breed of dog to have historically originated in the state of Louisiana."

Fascinating to learn, thank you Mommy and thank you Beau :)

You take care. I can't believe he is a lap dog. Our little Skye was not a lap dog at all, however she would lay near us on the couch.

Sandra, a warm Welcome to Beau and his new home with you and Bob. I just read your post today and fully understand your need to rest and heal. Feel better soon and return only when you feel ready. All good thoughts going to all of you.
