this tree is Art all by itself, each time I park beside it, I sit and stare in Wonder at those thorns.
they are common here in Florida, not as common as Pine trees or Palms, but a few in most neighborhoods.

Yes, wow! I had never heard of them before. They're gorgeous, but I don't think I would want one even if the climate were right.

Wow! Now I recall having seen these and thinking it looks like a stone age reptilian. Love its blossom, however. Weary and faded, but still pretty.
I would love to see this in real life...it looks like something someone as dreamed up with all those thorns. The flowers are beautiful.

The flowers are lovely and pretty for this very dull and gloomy day here on the West Coast. Suppose to have much needed rain this afternoon, and snow in the mountains. Needed there too.

That really is an amazing tree!! I think it's a wonderful gift you have....you appreciate nature and all that your eyes see. And I do believe your eyes see much more than mine.
Ps...our house is brick with cement foundation, not Adobe (entirely different). The soil in Texas is all clay. Foundations will crack when too dry. In turn interior walls will crack and houses can sink some. That's when the foundation is raised & piers are put in place to level the house again.

It is so pretty and so different. I remember years ago seeing the Kopak Tree Inn in Clearwater. I don't believe we went inside.
