In a prior post of a photo of this sign
Several comments were What Does this Sign Mean? I had no idea. I chose to walk the street and see what it looked like before I got close to it.
Perspective makes all the difference in understanding what the sign means
At the end of the street I can see the sign, it looks like we will drive into a big tree.
As we get closer, we can tell it means curving to the right
Thanks for the questiosn, I found something I never saw or took a photo of.. coming soon. |

And the sign isn't even a curve, more of an arrow or triangle. I sure would never have known what the heack it means.
Thank you for the added information. It looks as if the arrow is telling people the road veers to the right, and maybe the diamond holds reflectors for nighttime?
I love your shadow shot...
Thanks for explaining! Sometimes new signs are added that you have never seen before ...

Weird, I never even questioned it; we have similar signs in the UK, most usually black with a white chevron (or maybe three chevs) pointing in direction the road is bending. Lots of curves in Scotland!!! YAM xx
I would've thought that that direction ends...turn right.
Hello,
We have lots of curvy roads here, I see similar signs.
I like the last shadow shot of you!
Take care, have a great day!
PS...your comment on the whooping cranes. According to the habitat map, yes cranes have a small area to winter in Florida. (The rusty colored in my photos is the "baby")
You are looking rather tall in your shadow shot!
The way some folks drive nowadays they need warnings...I can see how someone not paying attention might keep straight into the yard. But then to avoid this they'd need to be watching the road...lack of attention to what one is doing/going can be a vicious cycle

As my former boss was always saying, "Perspective is everything." Indeed! Not so sure I'd like to live in that house immediately to the left. Suppose there have been any/many accidents there?
I can’t remember ever seeing a sign quite like that before.
I've seen signs like that around here so I already knew. It's awesome when friends ask questions in the comments though. It's usually an inspiration that leads to more blog posts
