Plumber WOES

For a few months now, the kitchen faucet has been leaking around the middle part, a small leak, now in the past few weeks a much bigger leak and around both handles. We also have a leak in the shower, as in it will not turn off, DRIP DRIP DRIP and getting worse.

I made an appt. for a plumber to come, ordered the above Faucet which is the same as the old one. Appt with plumber was Wed at 2 pm.
Saturday at 11:36 am I got an email from FedEX that said I left your faucet on your front porch.

IT WAS NOT THERE and as I type this is still NOT HERE.
It is somewhere OUT THERE where he put it on the wrong porch
Either the person found it and installed it in their own kitchen
Sold it for money to buy drugs
Has not found it because they never use the front door.
Or maybe it is sitting on their kitchen table until they find time to call and report it.
MEAN WHILE
I drove to the Covid infected local Home Depot and bought one and it is on the table unopened waiting to see if the FedEx brings the other one.
IT has been a NIGHTMARE
There is no way to talk to a person at FedEx, it is done by TEXT.
the first Text was an automated standard questionnaire.
There is 1 800 GoFedex but it is also automated questions and they give a work order and say 5 to 7 days they will let me know IF they find it.
Home Depot Support HA HA HA
Was also TEXT. OMG
Their text says as soon as FX completes their INVESTIGATION and that says it is INDEED LOST, they will refund the money.

Since I dont have it on day FIVE it is INDEED LOST!

I have two text numbers, an  INVESTIGATION case Number
and NO Faucet to be found.

Except the one I paid for again.

Waiting on plumber to come, it is Wed 10:44 am.
Will compete this after he leaves, IF he shows UP

The automated person suggested I RESCHEDULE the PLUMBER!
Yes I am yelling in caps.
Scheduled at 2, came at 4:16, left at 7:30
and we are living in Plumber He double L.....
The new faucest works well, the Master Bath is dead in the water, MAKE that Dead with NO water, no shower, no WATER
to be continued.... I was so upset I forgot to post this, and so upset I could not drink my coffee....
Plus my eyes hurt becasue I had a melt down this morning at 3 am when I woke up and could not go back to sleep..............

i had this trouble with Hermes for a lost parcel... they have an automatic chat system and after I typed the parcel number 17 times (no joke) and their system said it doesn't understand I wrote something different...and that moment it said I'm not nice... no, I'm definitely not nice, I don't want to marry a guy from this company, I just want my parcel...arrrgh!

Frustrating and very annoying! Hope you get it all sorted out real soon.

Oh, my, this is WAY too much. I have found out that Fed Ex often claims it has delivered a package when it has not, and also, that it doesn't care about the mayhem and anxiety it causes when it doesn't play fair with the customers.

Customer service sucks these days! I'm so sorry you are dealing with this, hope it's all resolved soon.

I will also get very stressed from all that hassle ... don't you have a track number with the order? I'am so sorry! Big hug!

Hello, Sandra

I have had problems with Fed-ex too. My last package from them said it was delivered, than I noticed it was delivered to a New York address and not mine in Maryland. Not sure where they got that address from. I did get my refund. I am sorry you are having problems with the plumbers and with your plumbing. Customer service is horrible lately, they do not care. I hope all is worked out, take some deep breaths. Take care!

...any wonder why I'm in no hurry to contact trades for ceiling repairs???

Mind you, the question kept bother me..."a whole new set when a washer ring might have fixed the deal?" Though I know these mixer style sets do wear out.

Bother and b****r, eh. YAM xx

FedEx customer service is very frustrating. If you have a Twitter account you can do what I did and put out a tweet expressing your displeasure tagging @FedEx and/or @FedExHelp. I got a response right away when you do something so public like that. Good luck.

Oh my gosh, girl. I'm so cross!
The only ones who benefit from automated/robo interaction are those who don't enjoy talking to customers. Isn't that like the tail wagging the dog?

I don't have a Twitter account, but would actually consider getting one to do like Millie suggested. Like my former employer and other huge corporations, I'm sure they know exactly how awful they are .... BUT more so, they abhor any kind of negative publicity.

Oh no! That is a nightmare. I hope it wasn't a porch pirate!!
We live on a corner. Our street address is the street on the side of our house. Our house faces another street. Our mailbox sits at the bottom of the driveway that faces the street that is not our address street. But we have the house numbers in 4 places on the house.
Lamp post in the back that faces the street that is out street name.
On the front of the house we have the numbers on the porch, on the lantern and on the mailbox. Deliveries have always been a problem here. I will never understand why they built the house facing a street that is not the house address.

Oh what awful times you are having. FED X has been pure pain for us too. I really try not to use them. Our older son went through the same type of thing that you are doing..It took a very long time to resolve.
I do have confidence that you will find a way to push through this mess.
You are so persistent.
So sorry about the plumber and your water too. Terrible customer service...and I use those words loosely.

I'm frustrated just reading this. What a mess. Why would the plumber be that late??? I hate when you can't talk to people. Glad you sink is working.

So the plumber came, but several hours late? WHY could he not fix the shower? Needed parts? Left at 7:30?? I hope they do not charge you overtime, since it was them who rescheduled it so late! That will be your argument. There are so many porc pirates out there, I think someone may have stolen it. What a TIME you have had!!

I had that happen quite a while ago. I ended up calling Texas State consumer advocate. Got straightened out by day's end!! Make your voice heard. And good luck.

Time for a good nap and or early to be night:(

We had a package that was "delivered" a week ago last Sunday by Fed Ex - no package. Walmart says give it 24 hours, sometimes the "delivered" gets ahead of the game. 36 hours later, no package - Walmart delivered new goods to arrive on last Thursday, no questions asked. No new charge. Last Wednesday 9:00p.m. doorbell rings, a very nice man was there with our package, all apologies that it sat at his house for so many days, hoped it wasn't urgent. And then Thursday Walmart replacement package arrives. Call Walmart - no problem, they say, keep both packages:) Now don't laugh - what was in the package? 16 cans of Bumble Bee solid white tuna that Mom can't find in the store. Dad likes it. Now we have 32 cans - should last a while. BOL

Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber

That has happened to me and it is a nightmare. Where did all the people who answered phones go - what about people without a computer? errrrrr

I do hope this all gets sorted out to your satisfaction.

definitely a double LL with the HE - what is happening, these tradespeople and delivery people are forever complaining about the lockdowns and loss of work! Surely they have all, by now, worked out how the automated stuff works so that the customer gets their orders.

A lot of people here have security cameras and there have been some unbelievable delivery people, captured on said camera throwing packages at a door without getting out of their vans...

love the person with all the cans of Tuna

I had automated message a while back, I thought the box would be small, so when the message said "it's delivered" and I hadn't seen anyone at front door, I would look in my mail box. NOPE not there.
Sometime later I was in the kitchen and noticed a "something out the back door which is vaguely see thru'" - huge box with so much stuffing "funny as"

We find Fed Ex has its down side. It once gave us a three day run around just for free tumblers the were a gift for an earlier charity donation. Makes me wonder what else charity is spending my funds on.
UPS seems more organized if a pick up tag arrives at door.
