We passed this gorgeous Banyan tree and turned the corner to the east and
There it was the sun breaking and the next turn we found
the Fair had come to town and was sprawled all over the abandoned parking lot.
What a great place to put it.
NOPE! I would not ride any of these, but I would go and Snap my Mad Self to smithereens taking photos.
And listen to the wild music and kids screaming and smell the popcorn and cotton candy.
Blog Fodder Found!!! HOO RAY!

That is one gorgeous tree! LOVE your carnival photos! I love snapping them myself. and when they are closed is the best, because there are no people to ruin the shots, and the rides are still so they don't blur! I like the third one in the collage the best, plus the ferris wheel.
Now THAT is a tree to be envious of. I, the Tigger, have never been to a fairground, nor do believe I have encountered cotton-candy. Mr B eats popcorn sometimes, and as for kids screaming - well that is time for me to depart the scene and find something to hide under. xxx Mr T
wow that was great to see all the things we miss now... no fair here, just fear... sigh...
I haven't seen a Banyan tree since our trip to Hawaii!! They are awesome. (The fair we had recently just wrapped things up & left)
Hello,
I love the tree, they are beautiful!
I do not like rides, I would leave them for the kiddies.
Take care, have a happy day!
What a great find. And to have it all to yourself to snap to your hearts content.
That tree is beautiful.
Love the Banyan trees -- and remember my childhood fascination seeing one for the first time at the Edison house in Ft. Myers.
Cool blog fodder, than carnival. Nope, wouldn't trust any of those rides -- or let my 'virtual' kids on them, either. Now the aromas? Yummmmm!

Its a thrill to find something new for the lens isn't it?! YAM xx
Thanks for the ride along and yes it is always great to find something new to blog about. I am wondering if that carnival will attract a lot of people and sure you will share, Sandra. I also would not go on any of the rides.
The Banyan tree is huge, kind of a strange spot for it too. I might go on a few of the rides but love photographing them too. I like to go just when it's getting dark and all the colorful lights are on. :)
You made me wonder about our mall. I went and looked and it says our Macy's is still open. I was surprised! It really would be nice to go shop...not yet though! lol
I love that banyan tree, too...and I would like to be there to photograph all the fun, and to have popcorn
Excellent use of the gigantic parking lot. I love the 2nd photo of the sun setting.
Hugs Cecilia
What a perfect place for the Fair.
I can't wait to see your Blog Fodder.
I know you will find some unique things to post.
Enjoy your weekend.
Sue
I'm so happy they are filling up the abandoned parking lot and making it a bit happy again!
Happy Snapping!
I agree. All those rides are good for only one thing, photos. You couldn’t pay me enough to get on them.
Both malls around us are having carnivals too. Interesting.
That tree looks like it is growing out of the building. Wonder what the roots are doing to it?
Once upon a time, Mom would ride ALL those rides over and over again. But now that she is at least a wee bit wiser, she says no way - those contraptions are just not safe.

I haven't seen a Fair set up in years! I enjoyed going to them with the kids.
A little fair in an abandoned Mall lot during COVID. Yes, blog fodder and plenty of it! From cheerful to pathos, it's all there!
Thank you...the fair pictures bring back wonderful memories. I'm with you, hurray for blog fodder!
