Chain Reaction 5

This is the spot where I dug up the children of Philomena, to put in the green vases, to sit on table and counter.
Side note: The ugly frog, was made by my Other Mother that raised me, Daddy's sister Helen, and
given to my mother about 60 years ago. He guards our front door.
Of course, I digress....
Philomena is doing well, she has about 6 new leaves

We had Philomena's sister hanging on the porch and I think that is how her children
ended up by the frog.
Who knows and no one cares.

The thing Is, Digging those up and loving the one on the side table,
sent me to Home Depot for a plant for the other table.

For some reason, I who toses every thing, had the green planter that is from 1990, given to me when my mother died. The little plants that were in it, now are taking over our back yard..

This adorable plant has heart shaped leaves just like Philomena, but teeny tiny.
Alva is an exotic angel plant, Creeping Fig, ficus pumila  and comes to us from South East Asia

I named her Alva after my grandmother and took her portrait in front of Philomena's child, now named Helen, after my Aunt. And she is living on my kitchen counter.

Philomena's other child is Lucille, after my mother and living in the living room HA HA
as you wait with bated breath, YES, there is a Chain Reaction 6 coming soon

I hope you are remembering all of these names because someday I will need help remembering what I named them. There may be a TEST

I don't think that frog is ugly at all and he certainly doesn't look 60 years old.
I will never remember all those names for your plants. They all look great. I like that green pot.

Hello,
I love your cute frog, he is guarding the front door? The creeping fig is a new one to me, I like the hearts shaped leaves. Alva is a pretty name, but I will not remember it. Have a happy day!

Well, if you forget the names, you have this post for a "cheat sheet". You are the only one I know that names plants.

Although I have named a few things, including my car, plants are a new one for me, Sandra. I did like reading how you named yours after family members, all females too. But I will not be any help in helping you remember the names.

Well hello, Alva - how pretty you are!!!

As I've said before I used to name all my pot-pets... and like all good mothers would often confuse them! That's okay, they are very forgiving and only need to know they are loved. YAM xx

The Children of Philomena! Sounds like the title of a novel ... or a soap opera! Love that you've given them all names. Maybe if I'd done that -- named the alamanda after my mother who loved them -- I might have taken better care of it.

PS - I, too, love that little frog. Looking good for 60 years old!

They are all beautiful, but I'll never remember all the names. I do like that you named them though. :)

Does the ugly Frog (I think he is quite handsome for 60 years old) have a name?

Maybe that's why my plants have all died....
I never named them!
I love all of your chain reaction posts...
I look forward to each installment every day.
Love the teeny heart leaves on that plant.
I'll bet Anni does too.

I love creeping fig. We have it growing in three places outside and had it all growing over the front of our other house that we moved from 14 1/2 years ago. I'm thinking I need to take a cutting and see if I can root it. It looks great on your table and I love your remote box too!

Oh my Sandra! I have named my school buses and my car, but never thought of naming plants.

I like your creeping fig. I need plants that are hardy and will survive my toxic thumb. I like your pots and the frog. I like that name.
