I have now changed my timer from 10 minutes to 20 minutes. The one that says get up from the computer and spend time doing something that makes me move.
Yesterday I decided to do what I call
make something look SPIFFY!
as in make something in the house look clean, in only a few minutes.
sometimes known as surface cleaning.
You will not find this definition in Webster Dictionary.
To make the fridge look Spiffy, it takes
Me and Microfiber and a bottle of Windex.
It can be w/amonia, wo/amonia, brand name or generic brand, but can't have a scent.
It even works with just plain water on the microfiber cloth.
I spent 15 Minutes with Great Value, Glass Cleaner w/Ammonia and did the fridge, and all the cabinets.
OUTSIDE only.
Spray and wipe, Spray and Wipe,
Gets the heart rate going, and causes no sigh,
It's easy and at when I am done,
he kitchen shines in the sun.
In 15 minutes, the kitchen is Spiffy.
and this is not iffy,
back to the computer I run,
Note: my kitchen cabinets are NOT wood, they are pressed sawdust covered in vinyl.
Also they were installed 32 years ago.
Don't try this on wood. If you are blessed with wood, use wood cleaner and spiffy.
Do you spiffy things up without deep cleaning?

Wow, your kitchen is spotless, and looks like a demonstration kitchen. Your cabinets look new.Spiffy is a word I use! And yes, I do this every once in awhile, usually with cleaning wipes like Lysol or Clorox.
Spiffy is the only way I know to do most things...
a friend of the mama said fill a bucket with water and cleaner what has a good scent, so the whole crib smells kinda spiffy... and when someone appears you can not stand then you can say ooooh I'm just busy with cleaning, can we talk later (aka never)?
My apartment is lucky if I get in the mood to spiffify. It sometimes happens, but then I get involved. Things take a lot longer now so we have to set our priorities. 😊

I'm with Rose - gotta have it shiny! YAM xx
To be honest, I don't deep clean often. And my spiffy is iffy!
Love the shadows created by the light
Your kitchen does look spiffy. My kitchen may be tidy but it's not spiffy and the floors could use a good mopping.
Hello,
Your kitchen looks beautiful, very spiffy indeed!
Have a happy day!
Your kitchen looks super spiffy! I take turns with doings things and being on the computer all day long. It's like mini challenges! I suggested this to someone who is always complaining about not getting things done at home and she responded sayings she is not a child and knows what she needs to do - ok fine, don't play our little game, just keep sitting there complaining! :D
My mother used to say 'spiffy'! (That, and spic-and-span.)
I get my best spiffy-ing done if I know someone's coming over. Unfortunately/fortunately(?) that doesn't happen so much.
Sounds as tho you've arrived at a good solution. Like I heard on TV the other night, "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time."
Whats the difference between spiffy and cleaning? You can't clean beneath the surface so I reckon spiffy is all that F ever does. And there has to be dirt you can see otherwise you don't get the satisfaction of seeing it removed. It does seem like exercise tho- wax on, wax off. Xxx Tigger
Sandra you kitchen is spotlessly spiffy!!
Hugs Cecilia
Absolutely SPIFFY !!!
It looks so bright and sparkly
Good job on your heart rate and getting the job done.
My kitchen never looks that good because of the darker wood cabinets and dark granite . Love my morning sunshine that comes in over the sink.
Since remodeling costs a small fortune..nothing is going to change. Same since apparently when the house was built back in the 80's.
Happy with my forever home anyway.

I am a pro at spiffy!! Not so much at deep cleaning tho LOL
Mom tries her darndest to spiffy up all the appliances. Dad made her change them all to stainless steel when we had the kitchen upgraded. She HATES them. She can clean them all, and in five minutes, as soon as someone touches them (or we give them a lick:), they are all smudges again. She wants her white ones back.

I try to keep my house in decent order, but from time to time, I need to spiffy things up quickly.
Oh, yes, but not nearly often enough. When I begin to trip over the debris, I vacuum the kitchen floor. Your kitchen looks spiffy. Or should that be spiffied?
Oh yes, I do it spiffy-style. I like to spray some alcohol on a bit of paper towel and spiffafy faucets, handles, ceramic sinks, etc. Run a dush mop over the tile, straighten the junk. Voila, quite spiffy, until a tumbleweed of cat and dog hair rolls across the floor...
Your kitchen looks great. I learned a few things reading this and also enjoyed everyone’s comments.
Absolutely SPIFFY !!!
Way to go! Keep on moving....
