Philomena's Daughters

Check out the root systems of Philomena's children.
Say aloe, to my little friends.
Yes, plants are our fronds.
You GROW Girls!
Quick, do you remember the names of Philomena's Daughters?

The tall one is Lucille, after my Mom and lives in the living room, Helen was my Dad's sister, and my OTHER Mom. Aunt Helen lives here in the kitchen and Lucille lives in the living room.

Wow, they have roots all over the place!! Good work! Will you leave them separate, or eventually combine them?

I love plants that do that. Good going!

They are developing well. Watch out when they become teenagers.

that is sweet to give them names... and there is something symbolic with the roots and the names from your family ;O)

Lol on Diane's comment (I know what it's like raising a teenage daughter). But seriously, the plants are doing so well.

I have some in a glass on my kitchen counter but it has no name. Will you eventually put these in dirt or just leave them in the glass?

Lucille and Helen are very pretty indeed and clearly intend to stay around for a while! ... I got a surprise yesterday when some cut basil I had ordered from the supermarket, and kept in a glass of water for freshness, developed root shoots! I have nowhere to plant it though... YAM xx

Aloe, ladies! Well, I remembered Lucille ... sorry, Helen. Those roots are crazy! I walked back in the bedroom to glare at mine -- "Why can't you be more like Philomena's Daughters?"

Best of "fronds"! Some people talk to their plants to encourage growth Naming them seems like a fun growth encourager, too. This post made me smile!
