Yesterday I visited Annie at Hootin Anni's Day Trippin and found yet another sketch by Annie. I love it and have many times told her I wish I could sketch like she does. With her permission, I am using her sketch today. Pop over and tell her thank you
source pic from PicMonkey stock |
First I created a blank page in PicMonkey
imported the above photo from their stock photos.
Then I dragged the curves thingy,
and used my touch screen to draw with my finger
and dodged and burned and nudged and touched up and colored for about an hour.
here is my creation that I kind a sorta sketched

Anni is amazing, and so talented! And gosh, you did EXCELLENT!! I would never have guessed you did this!
Every person given the same instructions would have produced something different and that is the art in you - in everyone. You've done a great job of that, and i see no difference creatively between your process and my taking fabric that someone else has made, and a pattern that someone else has designed and making a dress that no one else has ever seen.
😊👍
that looks super fantabulous!!!
Cute!! I look forward to seeing more of your work.
I can copy but not draw from my mind. I think you have to have a certain eye for drawing.
I love Hootin'Anni's bird and yours is fab.

I saw that sketch on Anni's blog and loved it. Your version is very cool. You're an artist also, you just use a different medium than Anni does.

Yes, as one who creates a log digitally, I agree - this too is an art as it requires some skill to work the keys to bring out the best 'copy'!!! YAM xx
Hello,
I do love Anni's sketch, your Ostrich is cute too.
Well done! Enjoy your day!
Great sketches by both of you, Sandra, and thanks for sharing these. I too cNnot draw so do appreciate the talents of those who can and do.
I love Anni's sketch but your came out very cool too! :)
You did GREAT! I love ostriches' expressions. Like they're perpetually surprised.
Did you write your name free-style, as well?
PS - did you observe at all while you were focused on that artwork that you felt very calm or detached, like in a meditative place? Engaging your right brain in creative process can do that - and it's really good for you.
I love Annie - she is so multi-talented. Your drawing was amazing!
Anni does have most talented hands to put her visions on paper.
Hugs Cecilia
Absolutely super...You worked hard and it's great.
Print it and hang it!!
