We have always had one or more Banana Trees next to our elephant ears.
This one is our current tree.
Banana Tree LABEL here, sometimes they are amazing
no need to read all the blah blah, but some of the photos are quite amazing, even if I am tooting my on horn.

They are really amazing photos. I can't tlel the difference between banana leaves and elephant ear leaves. I recognized your beautifuul mom immediately.
They do have interesting leaves even though it belongs to the grass family and it is not technically a tree. Love the old photo of your pretty mum.
Love all the photos, but especially the one of your mom.
a birthday greting to heaven for your mom. we like banana plants, but whatever we do, they will not grow in our garden... only in the gardens of da hood... crazy, isn't it?
Pretty photos...especially the one of your mother.
Love those big leaves and they are pretty even when all brown.
Great picture of you mom. Happy heavenly birthday to her.
Do you get bananas too? (Good to see that you and Beau are out and about again.)
Hello,
Love the photo of your Mom! The banana tree leaves are pretty!
Take care, have a happy day!
I have always admired your tropical looking plants. Sweet photo of your Mom and happy birthday to her.

... bananas are actually plants - to be precise, they are herbs - due to their succulent stem (and no wood trunk involved). But trees they get called, nonetheless. Either way, I agree, they are elegant and create some very interesting photos!!! YAM xx
I love seeing the banana trees, not as many around here. Hope you are both feeling better every day! You've had a rough few weeks for sure!
Your mom was beautiful!
What a beautiful photo of your Mom!
Happy Fall Y'all
Hugs Cecilia
Your Mother is so lovely...thanks for sharing her photo today on her birthday.
Love your tropical plants...they sure don't grow well around here in Northern California.
Beautiful photo of your beautiful mom! The greatest generation. Your banana tree is pretty. We had a small "grove" of them in the back in New Orleans, too. Hope you are continuing to gain strength and feel better.
Your mother was such a beauty! But the feeling I get? Don't let the feminity fool you -- she looks like the kind of lady who could arm wrestle a coyote and send it scurrying. Happy Birthday in Heaven to her!
Those leaves are beautiful even in death.
Love the photos. It's an amazing plant. Happy birthday to your Mother.
