Brain Fog Stress - its the LITTLE things!

Serious Brain Fog

I have been changing Bob's pillow case every day because he is having night sweats and it is wet. I removed the case and put it in the laundry basket in garage,

I hand bob his pills, write it down, give him ice water and the ice pack
Go to the bed with a clean pillow case, and his PILLOW is gone!

NOWHERE to be found! I panic and get all upset, How can I LOSE A PILLOW?
I run here and there, HOW can I LOSE A PILLOW!
Calm down he says!

I stop, take a few breathes, think what did I do and work backwards.
I took the case off, I put it in the basket in the garage of dirty laundry,
AHA!
It is in the dryer on HOT right where I put it.

A few minutes later,  I walk in the kitchen to charge my Chrome book .
I pass the charger on the counter and go to the two coffee cups sitting by the coffee maker and sit the Chromebook on top of the cups!
Good LUCK!
I Pick it up and almost cry and hook it to the charger.
. (translation in my mine says to me, I have Alzheimer's or a brain tumor)
this post was written 3 weeks ago when  I first brought Bob home from hospital.
NOW we know I was sick with a sinus infection and stress to the max, NO brain Tumor!
Can stress cause tumors????

Spell Check in blogger and email stopped for no reason, I was so aggravated and angry at Microsoft, it took 10 minutes to figure out how to turn it back on.
And blast them for turning it off. I SURE DID NOT.

I have enough going on, and the city advises they don't have enough drivers to do the recycle/garbage/trash pick up.
Until they find more drivers,
where are the drivers, did they all die from Covid? We had them before the lock down.
New Schedule
Blue Recycle every other Wed, Green Garbage Bin, every Tues/Friday but some days it mght be the next day before they get it. Yard trash every other Tues on Opposite week of Recycle.
Got IT! me either

Covid is famous for brain fog. Plus your brain is overloaded trying to think for and help both you and another person. It will get better, I know it.

Welcome to English and European style rubbish collection. Our council (UK) used to print and circulate a calendar with coloured weeks to match the bin colour. I still got it wrong. I used to wait until No 16 had put his bins out and do whatever he did.
Tigger says - my Mum is constantly doing stuff like putting the coffee pot in the fridge and the ground coffee (which lives in the fridge) in the teapot cupboard. And she hasn't got COVID to blame for it. It will clear. Your brain is too active to be demented. (Medical opinion of a demented cat.) xxx Mr T

OMG, that trash/recycle pick up schedule would drive me crazy. I have a hard enough time remembering to put the one trash can out every Tuesday.

Hello,
I have some senior moments, forgetting where I put things too. I am not alone, hubby does it too. We have recycle trash pickup on Mondays and regular trash on Wednesday, except on holidays. Take care, wishing you a great day!

Lordy!! I blame age. Now, here's one. We shower in one bathroom so I don't have to wipe walls in TWO rooms. Bud goes first. Then me. After I step out of the shower that one day, I realize I didn't bring clean clothes so I wrap myself up in a towel & traipse thru the house (I hear mirrors breaking from the sight I create). Since then, Bud reminds me of my clothes. ...musta scared him when I came out near naked.

Laughing at Anni's comment..

As to.the stuff you are doing, it sounds so much like what I do. I am continually hunting something. And most of the time it is where I thought it should be but I just could not see it the first time I looked.

Just crazy how now on this side of COVID there are shortages in drivers etc., wait staff in cafes etc. We have some school bus drivers driving 2 routes in the morning and afternoon. Signs out now hiring on almost every cafe property. Where are the folks who did this jobs for the last 18 months. I am clueless

That trash schedule would absolutely drive me nuts.
We have one big toter for all garbage/trash and another big toter for green waste. All recycling is done at the garbage plant. Dave and I do our own plastic and glass recycling and take it to one of the few do it yourself centers left in our area. Dave hadn't taken anything to the center for almost a year. Yesterday he got back $50.00 cash. And now our shed is finally empty again.
Anni's comment made me laugh too.
Misplacing stuff drives me crazy too. I guess I have a case of senioritis....

I think the problem comes when we think ahead. The answer is to concentrate on only one thing at a time, then move on to the next.
I've decided that nothing is worth worrying about any more, what will be will be. As you know Tom is ill and we don't know how long he's got so to worry about anything is futile.

Well, I had to come over and see what Mad-Snapperoni was up to and YOU DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I know it was irritating but I love the funny way you put it! Make yourself a chart of that new garbage/recycling/yard waste schedule (and then put it in the dryer on HOT for good measure)! Ha ha!

Interesting about your trash pick-up. We don't have recycling here; but even so, FB is full of complaints about Waste Management's missed pick-ups, etc.

I don't THINK I have Covid-induced brain fog ... rather, an over-developed case of anxiety OCD. Like yesterday, I was half-way to my car when I thought, "Did I turn off the stove?" Back inside. Got to the hospital and once inside the lobby: "Did I turn off my headlights?"

Little things is right! I love the way you always make us smile!

Hello Sandra,:=) When you have to look after another person besides yourself, it can be stressful, but I have similar senior moments when I can't remember where I put things , or even worse put things away in peculiar places. like toilet paper in the fridge, or milk in the microwave. It's distressing to be so absent minded. You are not alone.

As for the trash, well we have no pick ups, we take our own trash down the road when we leave the house, and put it in the correct containers provided. There are five containers in our road, all for different things. It's not too bad once you get used to it!

Your garbage schedule sounds much like ours. It works well once you get used to it.

Brain fog is nothing new, Sandra, sometimes it affects every one and you certainly have had a lot going on. That new garbage schedule is so confusing, it gave me brain fog just reading what you posted!

My stressor right now is that my moon or sun roof on the Honda opened by itself and now it won't close. And there's a chance of rain. Here, where it never rains! Go figure...

But it is a little strange that you forgot what you did with the pillow. Such a big item. I forget what I do with things all the time, but they are usually smaller, like my phone. Sometimes I wish I had another phone, so I could call my phone and find out where it is.

It's always something, right? Your days were too stressful and hectic.
