New Tree in The Nook
I fought the tree,
or did it fight me?
I truly did not like the decor at all,
It made me want to have a quick bawl.
Grabbing the cell,
I thought oh well,
I will just take small pieces
and see if that pleases.
looking up I saw the idiot in the mirror
could there be anything dearer?
The tree was done, and done again,
I still don't like it, it is still not a WIN!
Two days later, I removed berries and cones
and today I am continuing to moan.
the man of the house said you will never be satisfied
Just stop! you have really tried,
I snarled at him, listen to me Boy,
I will not stop until when I look at it, I feel Joy
PS actually I did not say Boy. I could not think of rhyming words for what we both said. this kinda sorta tells the tale.
to be continued

I was thinking of your tree today. I couldn't remember how you had decorated it, or if you had showed it. Glad to see I had not forgotten. I like it with the pretty lights on it!
Another fun post. I especially like the reflections of you. ❤️
Your Xmas theme looks strangely wintery - we say strangely knowing you live in a hot place. You have really captured a northern Christmas look.
Funny poem! What is going on with the tree? Do you need a theme? OR, DOES IT NEED ICICLES? Sometimes icicles thrown over heavily will turn a blah tree into a lovely tree! What about a Florida tree, like a Carmen Miranda tree with lil' flamingoes?
we agree... the battle will last till we feel joy and till we say it is OUR tree.... btw: the adequate rhyming words can be muck, stuck or plug... LOL
Hello,
Your poem is cute and I like your tree. The light, pine cones and berries are pretty. Cute selfies too! Have a great day!

...and I await the results, for I know they will glint and glimmer whatever you end up doing! YAM xx
Well...you ARE smiling as you look at your work. Maybe partially pleased?
Did you tear some of it apart to get the pine needle clippings. Or is that craft picks?
I love your lights and your items are so clean and sparkly!
I like your little tree. It looks pretty with those lights on it. Call me crazy, your reflection in the mirror looks pretty joyful.
Well done MS...I love the nook collage and the words!!
Hugs Cecilia
The fun never ends...I am looking forward to the rest of the tale.
Love this! Same 'stage' and your creativity makes it look new every season. You're having fun, and that's all that counts. Right?
PS Gotta say, those first two images made me think of those doo-dads at the bottom of an acquarium.
Well, at least you are smiling while the trials go on and on.
I like it but I know when there is something in one's mind and it doesn't turn out that way ...no satisfaction.
Eagerly waiting for the next installment.
Sue
You are so cute!! And FUN!!!
All the pretty lights, lovely! And I agree with Linda, you look very cute!
I think it all looks very festive.
Love the icy look the lights reflect and your smile.
You are so much fun! Cheered me up, thanks.
Knowing how much you like to have things the way you like them, we are sure you will find a beautiful solution to the tree decorating!!!

The tree is looking good so far, can't wait to see where you go from here!!
The berries and pine cones look lovely. I have pine cones around my house all year long.
Hello Sandra, :=) Cute poem! Your tree looks lovely as it is, with all the lights on, but only you will know when you are a 100percent pleased with it.You look pretty holding your Christmassy red camera, and looking like your tree may be almost to your liking,..perhaps!!
