Her Madness has a new name on Wordy Wed

MadsupershopperSnapper  Shopped for an hour and came home minus a whole of of $$$$$$
and reeling from sticker shock at prices that are leaping by dollars not pennies.

I bought a package of Talapia Fish and when I took them out of the car and into the house the fish stunk to high heaven, maybe even higher.
Bob said What is that Smell?
I said its the &^$%# Fish, now I have to go back to Wal-Mart and return it.
I brought everything in the house, harnessed Beau and took him for his walk, came home and drove to Walmart all in a HUFF. As I walked in the door I thought OH NOOOOOOOOOO  I left the receipt on the counter. I carried the stinking rotten fish up to the Customer service desk and Linda, who has been there for 25 years said You didn't have to bring the fish, just your receipt will do next time.
I said Linda I left the receipt home on the counter. She said give me the fish and I need the receipt.
I said it was only 40 minutes ago, on my debit card.
She said put your card in the machine, I did and she said what wast the price, I said 12.80.
She said was it Tapia? I said yes, she said ok, its back on your card.
Did you know if you go in same day they can pull up what you bought and look at it?
They can also print another receipt. But they don't WANT TO.
She knew I have shopped there very Saturday for 25 years and did it for me.
I am the MadSuperShopperSnapping Return Guru

Are you wondering why all this when there is a rug above?
WELL a few more WORDS and you will know.
I wanted more fish but could not make myself buy from what was there, even though I have bought it for years and never had it be bad. I had one thing I had forgotten and one that I did not know I needed so went to the aisle to get that item and in so doing I passed the rug aisle and
there they were... Rugs for the kitchen.  Note the photo of me in the new dress is to dress up the ugly photo.
to be continued

The rugs are cheerful, and I like them. Of course now I worry about you TRIPPING on them! Get some of that rug tape to tack them down! Well, I sure would not have bought any more fish from that lot, they likely had all suffered the same rotten fate. As long as you bought with a credit card, you do not need the receipt. I have returned stuff with no receipt, they just don't like it. They won't do it unless you paid with a credit card.

Excellent floor rug. Just the thing for a Tigger to get his claws into. I love pulling at rugs xxx Mr T (F is shocked by the price of fish - how many kilos was that?)

So sorry about the fish. I love your outfit!

Hello MadsupershopperSnapper :))) I like your outfit and the rug. I didn’t know about the receipt so thanks for that tip. Linda is a really nice lady to help out like that, and always appreciate you passing on the info you find. Thanks Sandra!

Oh wow. I can smell that decaying, rotting, fish thru my screen!!! Nasty

I think most stores will do this (if you use debit/credit).

love area rugs, but not sure about the kitchen floor. Too slippery and accident prone

Hello,
There are some things I will not buy at Walmart, fish is one of them.
Your new rugs are cute, I like all the colors. Take care, have a great day!

To bad about the fish, that really stinks :)
I like those rugs. I've been looking for new kitchen rugs but have yet to find what I want. I want one runner and a smaller matching rug but can't find them anywhere.

...maybe it's time Bob got back into his fishing game?! Yes, we can do that cr/card return thing here too. At least with the bigger supermarkets. YAM xx

How did no one at the fish counter smell such rotten fish. I wouldn't buy anymore fish there for a very, very long time. Hopefully they will clean the whole counter out well.

And another thing about Walmart - their returns are instantaneous - why can't all companies do that?

I like your new rugs and I'm glad they took care of the fish for you! WHEW! That was expensive fish! I only buy meat at Publix and so far...so good! Hugs!

Oh dear me on the rotten fish...I once had to return some ground beef. I was told the same thing next time just the receipt. I like your rugs

I hate getting home with food that is bad. I try to think and give the smell test to pork and chicken as I put it in the car.

Glad you got good customer service which you should do as you've shopped at Wal-Mart for years. Treating yourself to a rug was a good idea.

Cute rugs! I think you had red before? That's a relatively inexpensive way to change the look of a room.

Gosh, just reading about the tilapia makes me feel I'm going to upchuck. I loathe having to do returns, but appreciate learning about that same-day process; what to ask for. Amazon's processes have totally spoiled me.

I'm with everyone else..hate returning things but glad they were accomodating.
Nice kitchen rugs too. I can't have them in our kitchen. I tripped over the last ones we had and said with my gimpy knee I don't need to hurt it more.
Almost time to go to Lynne's hoping today will go more quickly. Temps are warmer and no wind so we can go out side..that really helps pass the time.
I was mentally exhausted when I got home Monday.
Hope life perks up today!!
This aging thing isn't pretty...

Louis Dean returned a bad brisket once to Walmart - and it got real ugly!!! The guy wanted a receipt and he'd left it out in the truck. so he walked back to get it, punched holes in the brisket with his pocket knofe and dripped all the way back into the store.
They gave him his refund but I don't think anyone had a good attitude - including Louis Dean!!

Ewwww! That fish smelled so bad a can smell it coming out my computer screen. Hope the smell didn't permeate your lovely outfit and the new rugs.

Nice that you ere able to get the refund, Sandra, and when fish smells bad right from the store then it most likely should be returned ASAP. Rugs are nice, but I agree on a possible trip hazard. We bought a kitchen pad that is foam rubber so it doesn't slid around, although I admit to having caught my shoe on the end of it more then once.

You are looking so trim and great. The rugs are lovely and the fishy story had a happy ending.
I lost a receipt for something i returned and they did the same. I just had to give them my rewards card and they found the item and credited my card. it was longer than one day though.

You look great. I have the same carpet at the patio door and a small one as a mat for bathtub because it does not slide away. Safety first these days.
Stores send us coupons based on what they read off out receipts they record.
Do you have any fish shops or is big Walmart the only option?

So returning the fish got you two new rugs for the kitchen. They are very cute. Sorry about the fish and glad they were able to work that out without the receipt. We bought a bag of potatoes at Costco and we kept smelling fish. Mark looked it up and if they are exposed to too much light they can smell fishy. We just tossed them out.
