Lewis Park, the houses

The only house IN Lewis Park is the tiny library. I looked through and there was nothing with large print., so left them there.

I took this of my Kia just because of the shadows and trees, My hood is pointed toward the one drivable entrance/exit
And I took these houses through my windshield as  I Left.

. they are across the street
one is green the other aqua.
Aqua seems to be THE color for houses now. Bob wants to paint ours but we can't agree on a color plus I don't want him on a ladder.
We are also fighting over him wanting to get on the roof to sweep it.
ov vey!

They are lovely houses! Seems to be more and more tiny libraries. The Unitarian Church down the street have one out front. I always wonder if it is only for church members.

I'm with you... men in their best age are no longer allowed on the roof... no matter what ;O)

Keep strong and don't let him on the roof or up a ladder. My husbands friend fell from his roof and became a paraplegic. A few blokes in the village have fallen off ladders and broken bones. Pretty houses and park.

What is it about mature men and ladders- mine The Golfer) thinks he can do as he likes…..I differ and say no.
Lots of ‘words’ until grandsons come do as their grandma asks them. But still he hangs around the bottom of the ladder directing traffic😊
The tiny library near me has been enlarged several times - there’s more books being put in than taken out!

Hello,
I love the views of the park and shadows. The Little Library is cute, they are wonderful. The houses are pretty, I like the first house. I hope Bob does not climb up on the roof. Have a happy day and a great new week!

We have one of those tiny houses down the street from me but it has food in it instead of books.
There was a time when I wanted to do work like painting all by myself but now I would rather pay someone to do it for me.

Struth, Bob gets new knees and suddenly he's all "Bob The Builder" again (that's a kids show here, in case you are wondering...) Does he think he's Bionic Man??!!! (Remember that?) I hope never to read of him trying that out... YAM xx

What a lovely book house and such a fantastic idea too. I've seen several similar book houses on my walks in the 'hood.
I love this real house too especially the color and landscaping. Tell BOB is is much cheaper to have someone do that. Falling off a roof would be way more expensive and HE DOES NOT WANT TO MESS UP HIS NEW KNEES!

I'm right there with you about Bob getting on ladders -- or roof tops! The last time Tom tried that, he hadn't counted on the ambient humidity making it slippery. Then, when I couldn't get the ladder hooks to engage we wound up screaming at one another and I thought I'd have to call the Fire Department to get him down.

Maybe as long as he won't budge, you could delay things by still arguing on a paint color? What's your preference?

You have a pretty neighborhood with lots of interesting sights to share with us. Thanks Sandra :) Yikes on Bob wanting to get up on the roof and the ladder!

Hello Sandra,:=) What lovely houses, and the book idea is a new one for me. In Oporto we have
the old fashioned Telephone Kiosks with books inside, you can take a book to read, but must replace it with another. I think everything has been said with regards to Bob climbing a ladder. Women are far more sensible.

I think my friends KIA might be like yours. What model is it? Men!!! Mark keeps getting on the ladder when he trims the bougainvillea's out in front. I worries me. Like the little book house. So you don't have reading glasses?

Beautiful houses! I read this one after I commented on your next post. No, Bob shouldn't be walking around on the roof!

I had to think what a "hood" was - that object is called the "bonnet" here in New Zealand...

As for Bob, is that the trouble with retired men and wanting to do something they really shouldn't. Maybe find him a simpler task one that is more with feet and mind firmly on the ground...
