Cuter than a Hedgehog on thankful Thursday?

Way back in 2009, the nursing home I volunteered at, had a traveling petting Zoo come for a couple of hours.

I met Ollie, the hedgehog. I said then and until now Ollie you are the cutest little guy I have ever seen. I mean look at those EARS and that face?

Today I want to say, I am thankful for meeting Ollie and his friends, Thankful for the friends at the home, thankful for the goats, and chickens and even a Monkey.

My job as volunteer was to move the goats from resident to residents
I am still forever thankful of my 8 years at that home.

I am thankful I am now 70 lbs. less than I was back in 2009.
This is meant to be a Lead in for tomorrow
Because I have a story to tell you, of the REAL cutest thing I have ever met and maybe ever will...
Coming Soon, Cute Alert on Nature Friday
What could be cuter than a hedgehog?

Maybe my possum?? I can't even imagine you moving goats from room to room! They must have been babies. We are going down to the ranch next Friday to do weekend critter chores. Dean and Sherry have a hired man to come in and handle the goats, Once they are past being babies - it's not easy to deal with them.
You are amazing in the way you have taken care of yourself over the past few years. You're an inspiration to all of us!

we lokk forward to read your post tomorrow... and we love the hedgehog too... our dad had a monkey as he was a kidlet, but this guy did weird things during a meeting of his mom's ladies club, so the decision of his parents to buy him a monkey instead the lion he had on his wishlist was questionable ;O)

Aaaargh ...I can't wait! Is it bigger than a breadbox? I remember when you told us about the traveling zoo animals and thought that was the best initiative I'd ever heard of. You know, now I'm going to have to Google hedgehogs - wondering if they make good pets?

Yep, we've got lots to be thankful for!

We don't think we ever thought of a hedgehog as "cute" but the photos you have sure do make them look darn cute. Hopefully that real cutest thing isn't a skunk!!!

So adorable! My parents had a family of hedgehogs in their garden years ago. I have a good friend who has built a hedgehog house for hers. Both of these were/are in the UK.

I'm guessing Beau! That was a job that I think I would enjoy doing. I can't believe the 70 lbs. I see it when I look at your photos and wish I could do the same thing. You should be so proud of yourself.

Sandra - F tells me I have to be a visiting cat when we go back to UK. Is it safe do you think? That hedgehog is indeed very cute but at least no one is going to squeeze him too hard. xxx Mr T
