Guessing Game

Take a moment and see if you can guess what I was doing

Did you guess?????
For my entire life, which is well over 3/4 of a Century, I have gone barefoot, inside and out.

While Bob was grilling our Memorial Day BBQ, I took the small can of garbage to sit in in between the fences to remove temptation from Beau.
In so doing, I stumbled over a root, and my right foot came down on another root and I have a really sore foot and a big bruise on the pad to my foot.
I can hardly walk on it and
I wanted to see what it looks like and could not get my foot up to see it.

I decided to take a photo and nearly fell over several times trying to take a PHOTO of the underside of my foot.
I never did get to see the bruise or a decent photo and since I nearly injured myself again, I decided to use it on the blog.
Possibly this might remind me to put my SHOES ON MY FEET before I go outside.
this is not the first injury, just the first I have shared with you.

my candle is near the end

my body is past the expiration date

Alas!

Go Barefoot Any more...

Sorry, you hurt your foot. I never walk barefoot, not even in the house.
I hope your foot feels better soon, take care! Have a great day!

In OZ I was barefoot all the time. It's not so much a thing in these colder climes, so slippers on most of the time... though a recent warmer day where I did let the toes free resulted in me kicking a bed leg and damaging the middle toe. So slippers back on! YAM xx

Believe it or not I half guessed...I thought you were using a mirror to see the bottom of your foot.

I guessed some injury inspection ....cause I go barefooted a lot too. I'd much rather stub my toes than out on shoes lol

Oh man, you and I are so alike! The other evening I was running to the bathroom when the wall jumped out and tried to amputate part of my foot between the 4th and little toes. OUCH!

I loathe wearing shoes, but keep a pair of ugly gray rubber boots by the back door so I won't step on a creepy crawley or pile of poop.

I am sorry you hurt your foot. To me I feel funny without shoes.

So sorry about your foot. That is a painful place to hurt..speedy recovery...
Love the "Drama" of your pictures, especially the Life is hard one.
Only you would have thought about making a blog post out of your injury.
Now put your shoes on and try to stay out of trouble...(:0)

Oh NO! I want updates on how it is doing! Does it still hurt? For the last several years, I have not been able to clip my own toenails anymore. I go to a podiatrist every three months. I used to be able to BITE my toenails (not that I would ever DO that, but my feet would reach my head.) Now my knees are shot. Both need surgery. Outside, you could step on all kinds of bugs, ants yellow jackets, etc.!!! I am so glad this was not the case now. I was just reading an article in the paper, apparently our area is overrun with Black Widow spiders. I know you have the wolf ones, and thought of you. I don't know how you manage to stay conscious when you see one. I actually, really, think I would have a heart attack.

I rarely go barefoot anywhere... My feet don't find it comfortable, and even indoors it's easy to get hurt on something! It happens in summer that I take my shoes off for a few steps on a lawn or a beach, just to "feel it"... But with all the litter everywhere these days, and ticks and whatnot, I don't really "walk" barefoot.

I'm with you, everything is blog fodder. 😊

I figured you were trying to take a picture. When I do things like that I prop up the camera, put it on timed release and hope I get a picture of the right thing.

Tomorrow's post will be for you.

Ouch! A great idea on taking a photo of your boo-boo but glad no catastrophes. I have had similar happenings with my feet as I go barefoot most of the time. Not outside though as that's where I have had my problems and am now not doing that any more. Hope that sore spot goes away soon.

Go on - be daring, barefoot to the end Tigger will be, and F would be unless she ends up demented and in care with some over-efficient carer who believes in shoes. Just be more careful about where you are putting your feet. xxx Mr T and F (or start doing flexibility exercises so you czn photograph your feet when you hurt them.) Bare feet is so much better for all of the rest of you (balance, muscles fascia etc) than walking about in shoes.

After 7 years of having to wear shoes because of the weather, I am back to bare feet...but I do keep a pair of flippity flops by the back door to wear when I take the pups out :-)

Hope you are healed up and back to bare footin' it soon!

After I figured out that the photos were if a human foot, most likely yours, Sandra, I was wondering why?
Sorry to read about your injury and hope being shoeless will not be your preference now. It is mine, but only when indoors.
