You Are Awesome to the Core

Apple Art to for all of you, just so you know I think you are all awesome to the core!

Cell phone view of Mothers Dish, Gala apples that cost $3.78 9 apples.
I peel and slice, add lots of cinnamon, one squirt of vanilla stevia drops and a tad of water.
Zap in Microwave 5 minutes, stir and zap another 5 minutes
and they taste like apple pie without a crust and my IBS says YES to them.
The good news is, they taste sweet and are cheaper than a cake or pie.

Yes, I did MONKEY with the photo in PicMonkey
P.S. In Monday post I told you my struggle is real and it had killed my creative ability.
I got my creative juices flowing by taking photos of the things I shopped for with no idea how to use them.  The kitchen counter clutter and the apples did the trick.
I am singing If your happy and you know it, clap your hands. Singe with us now

This looks delicious, how did you find out about doing it? I remember those casseroles, I had the green ones. Avacado green, just like my washer, dryer, and freezer were. Ew.

Your apple snack sounds yummy, just like apple pie. I knew you still had it in you, your creative juices did not leave. Have a happy day!

I ‘stew’ my apples the same way - sometimes adding a sliced pear or two. Are you okay with pears? They add a different taste to the mix, also a slightly different texture. Texture Taste Flavour can’t go wrong with that. Of course (sorry to mention this) added scoop of ice cream just finishes it off nicely.😊

I've got that same dish and use it all the time!
This 'apple pie' sounds really easy; something Tom would love. I've never cored an apple before, but thank goodness for Google and YouTube.

I can tell you feel better today. I'll clap WITH YOU! And I love those apples too. We take apple slices in a cooler when we hike so that when we finish we can eat them as a sweet snack. I like chopping small pieces into my oatmeal before it cooks too. YUMO!

Still using my mother's Corningware dish just like yours, but not for apples. Anything I can eat raw . . .happily . . .I do. It seems to help me stay in a good blood sugar range. So far so good, mostly!

Sigh...now I have that song rattling around in my brain...
So glad you got your creative juices back.
Those apples look so tasty. It's good your IBS likes them too.
Sometimes we just need a little boot in the backside to get going again. I feel that way too.
Dr. appointment this morning. Just the regular visit..she's not going to be happy with my weight but I'm glad my BP is where its suppose to be finally.

I love that song!!!!
Sometimes I see something that just looks like it needs to be photographed!
That might lead to my blog post on it and Nita once told me, "Linda, you are such a good writer you can write an entire essay about an aspirin!" I think that was a compliment? Hahahaha! How I wish my sister could talk to me now...

Sandra, if you are happy again, then your fellow blogger friends are also happy for you. Thanks for the microwave apple recipe, but I was also thinking how vanilla ice cream would really improve it.😋

I've done something similar, I think. The microwave is a really good "shortcut" to cooking sometimes :)

Thanks for this recipe. Sounds so healthy and am always looking for heatlhy ones. Hey, I have those same dishes! I have two casseroles, one slightly smaller so that they fit inside each other.

Nice looking apples, I've never cooked them that way. I must admit I like a good apple pie.

I knew you had "creativity" many earlier pioneer artists created "still life" and that's what your apples are :-)
