Fake or Live?

I am not a fan of fake flowers, but the flowers on my kitchen table have been there for several years and they make me happy when the sunshine hits them.
I decided to show you the newest child of Philomenia the Philodendron who lives in the corner, and she grows too long and needs trimming about once a month.
I stuff her cuttings in vases, and they make me happy
They grow in water only. I just added 4 new short cuttings to this vase
and I love it.
The photo below was to be for Nature Friday with Rosy because
Fake Flowers Do Not Count as Nature
It is my nature to feel happy when I look in my kitchen.
The roof is not done, and I just can't talk about it until they are gone.

we love the philo's... my mom had one what was everywhere in the living room.... that was an adventure to remove it as we moved... it moved with us but in the "shortcut" version and it sadly never grew so fantabulous like it was once

Philomenia is doing very well, indeed. Pretty! I knew the fake flowers were fake becaue I remember them. Otherwise, I would have thought they were real.

First, let me say that I sometimes have to fill my Critters posts with my stuffed animals, so those gorgeous flowers do fine for NF!

Second, the photo of the Philo-babes is such a beautiful shot!!! YAM xx

Oh dear on the roof part…..

The red and yellow work well with that lovely chunky green vase…..and you’re right about it being a happy scene in the sunlight. Philly seems to be bent on going this way and thataway- rather like your mind where the roof’s concerned. .She’s definitely making pretty patterns in the air

It's better for your mental state and less frustration, Sandra, to talk about the flowers and not you-know-what. Enjoy the weekend and r-e-l-a-x (if you can).

I 💛 my philo more than I thought possible -- but thanks for the reminder to keep her trimmed. Oops!
Maybe I'll start doing that on the same day I have my own hair trimmed.

Wow, your "babies" really do well. I love the shoots in the green vase.
So sorry about the roof.
I do hope it will be finished soon.

Some of the fake flowers these days are hard to tell from the real thing! Pretty photo of the philodendron.

Your flowers would bring a smile to me too. I have two ferns in one of the rooms and they are fake but look real, and I like the greenery. I guess they look real because I once stopped someone who made it their mission to water those ferns when they were staying with us for a couple of weeks a while back.

Philomena sure is pretty!

Very artfully arranged Philodendron. You could put her against say a Japanese backgound and she would be one of their minimalist 'flower arangement' statements.

Ikebana.

I think our earlier comment about artfully arranged Philomena could go on a Japanese background and be one of theid minimalist flower statements seems to have minimized itself to nothing and floated off into the ether. Bother. Anyway that explains why we added Ikebana in a follow-up comment.

I usually don't like fake flowers or plants, but by now they make such realistic looking ones that I have a couple in my house. Your flowers are so bright and cheery.

I think fake flowers count for Nature Friday, especially when they are so beautiful!!
