Giant in the backyard

I took these selfies with my little Canon Point and shoot, holding it out shooting blind.
I wanted to show you how tall the plants are with the monsoons.

Above me with the now over 6 feet all Casava Plant
Below with the 10 feet tall Giant Elephant Ear and the one I am standing under the largest leaft measures
51 Inches/130M Long

The Polka Dots I made for June, the cat, not the month.

My son Dan sent me the Monsoon Rain we had Monday Night. We are getting every night now. Yes, we get the same monsoons, he is about 40 miles away from us. 3 PM to 7 almost every day.

Turn up the volume

That's the sky crying a river... so glad you are finally getting enough rain to break that drought. Even if it is bombastic! YAM xx

WOW, that leaf is huge.
That is a lot of rain. If it rained like that here I would have water coming in my basement for sure.

Hello,
Cute photos of your and your plants. I just love those giant elephant ear leaves, they are beautiful. More rain would be welcomed here. Take care, enjoy your day!

OMDs that is a giant leaf...and evidently loves it's home.
Good thing Dan lives near boats. He might need to borrow one

Is it my imagination or is this year rain-ier than most?
Wow on that leaf. Those folks on Naked and Afraid would love having a few of those, don't you think? (Not that I'd know ...hahaha)

Glad you got your Jungle back and don't have to water your plants with dishwater any more... Hope it doesn't get TOO wet instead, though!!

Wowsers on the monsoon...
Wish you could share a little of that with us today.
Our drought is pretty serious.
Those plants are HUGE..Love how you showed them to us..great comparison.
Looking forward to a party...family reunion today....haven't seen some of these people for 5 years.
I hope I can get some decent photos, so I have something to post again.

Big and beautiful! Looks like the tropics down your way, with plant life and that monsoon.
