Looking UP!

I stepped under the 10-foot-tall Elephant Ear Parent Plant to grab this shot of a baby EE that is now 4 feet tall. The photo was not very good so I edited in Lunapic.
I could stand upright under these ginormous leaves holding the cell on my palm. There are now six of these new plants growing under/behind the tallestone.

Wow, they are huge and vibrant. Are you going to let them all grow?

Your place grows kind of like how we imagined a jungle would be. If you stand still too long would vines engulf you? xxx Mr T

I agree with Jean ... wow!
This perspective, looking at the underside of the leaf, at its veins (?) makes me appreciate nature even more.

Wow! Visiting your blog is often a delightful exploration into nature. But this elephant ear safari is a totally novel experience!

Those elephant ears are just fabulous and amazing. Its the perfect name for them.
Off for my usual care-giving 4 hours today. At least the temps won't be quite as hot as last week..think it will be 96F at the hottest, so there will be a chance for some sitting outside before lunch. Yay...
Then home to grab some dinner and off to Celebrate Recovery to prepare for the dessert time after their meeting.
We always are pooped when we get home but it is a satisfying ministry to be helping.

They are huge. You could use a let as an umbrella.
